I think it would be good for lots to show stock balancer setup in detail along with the back side of tune adjustments. Probably Terminator x being the current most popular at the moment.

My question is if you don't have a keyed crank.....how do you essentially put the balancer on to get it close to top dead center mark this just tells me we're TDC center is based on a number?? how did you 0 out the balancer to that pointer? or at least get it close?

Awesome. I appreciate yall. I've been dealing with a built ls spitting back through the intake . And won't run . Could it be off on timing marks ? Guys swear they got timing marks lined up but sounds 180 out to us. Running fitech and sheetmetal intake.

What timing Pointer to use with the stock truck balancer? Did you do a video to verify TDC on stock balancer? Great info.

That's the part Number for the truck. But not for a stock damper. I think the answer to that question is describing your own marks. Until you can afford the 4-5 hundred dollar Damper to save your crank/ Bearings.

Can you do a video of a front reluctor wheel set up on the same engine maybe a flying Magnet or a 60 - 2 or both? Thanks

I’ve never installed a dampener with timing marks. When installing an ATI how do you know it will be in the ballpark of the TDC mark? Set the engine at TDC and install the dampener with the pointer on and eyeball it? Then use this method?

Do you guy sell a pin kit for balancers? To help keep them from spinning on the snout?

When adding a ATI balancer to a LS motor with no key, how do we drill the key way in so the ati is close enough to tdc?

So putting the two dots in line don’t set the timing at 0?

I know there aren't any marks on the factory balancer is there a way to do this with the factory balancer

same process, just use some type of pointer. Mark the balancer each direction then measure and split the difference. 100% knock the rockers lose on #1 or you will hit the exhaust valve and not the piston going 1 direction. Of course this will just give you the TDC mark. But you will be able to tell where 0 is and if it's BTDC or ATDC timing. I'm using an aftermarket balancer with a stock crank. I'm going to try and eyeball it close enough to get one of these pointers to work. I have 30-degree timing marks both ways just no dead set way to put the balancer on. they make timing tape for older sbc balancers i bet you could use to get the marks you want once you find true TDC
