It is interesting how the name Darwin resonates in studies still to this day! He obviously, was a naturalist who studied the world and evolution. His discoveries of common descent species, variations due to how they adapt to their environment and how they adapt is interesting. The video does not explain why variations occur from the same two parent plants, so it is obviously a topic to explore. When a superior product is produced when i.e. a farmer chooses to use the best seeds a superior product is produced. They determine what traits they consider superior and wish to reproduce/create. Nature has a natural selection of reproduction to those who survive in the animal. The process by which random evolution changes occur creating new things add up in multiple generations, and can create unique and beautiful creations.

MsJoyJoyHappy yk I never have used these skills in my life. I wish that the curriculum was better for y’all because teachers would be able to teach things that mattered to the vast majority. We live in a age where school is hated by most and it’s because of the rigorous ways used that encourages students to hate. If they could teach and make it fun, or actually teach stuff that mattered, It would make a great impact on the world

I honestly love the term lifetime differential reproductive success, the name literally tells you what its about. but I am curious as to what Mr Andersen has to say about a good solution for the ongoing problem of antibiotic resistance. Should we mimic the aids cocktail, or would that just make things worse?

The term is used in natural selection when different traits are expressed. Offspring with better suited mutations will out compete their siblings with unsuitable mutations, which gives those better suited an edge in reproductive success. en wikipedia org/wiki/Natural_selection

Read any biology text and it'll say the same thing: THERE IS NO DIRECTION TO EVOLUTION. THERE IS NO DIRECTION TO NATURAL SELECTION. But I say that is WRONG. I say there is a direction to evolution, and I think that once I tell you, you will agree and prove the textbooks are not correct. The process of evolution always goes toward better CATABOLIC, and, ANABOLIC processes. Natural selection does not select worse CATABOLIC, or ANABOLIC processes.. Take this further: Mutation that is positive to a catabolic process will enhance anabolic processes. Mutation that is negative to a catabolic process will be mitigated by anabolic processes - and vice versa. So not only is there a direction to evolution, but there is support from the other half of the catabolic or anabolic processes when mutations happen.
