The Teenage Gary one makes no sense at all, even in the storyboard phase, because 2 transformation scenes would ruin the joke. And I have a feeling Billy West is misremembering the musician in question or exaggerating for a better story; I think it's more likely it was Eric Stefani (Gwen's brother) who was an animator on Ren and Stimpy and the Simpsons.
@alextubekis1232 жыл бұрын
i disagree. the spongebob sequence was a cool piece of animation and im pretty sure the animators would have wanted to put both in. also the post from the video was right. i dont think a wipe transition like that was ever used in the original seasons, so why would it be used there? one thing i dont understand is why spongebob's transformation wasn't censored, but studio executives have been known to censor things for some pretty stupid reasons so that fact doesnt disprove the clip's existence in my opinion. there's a good chance that - if this scene ever existed - a physical copy still exists. weather a vhs tape in someone's basement, or maybe in the creator's archives. i feel this will be found
@CinnamonGrrlErin12 жыл бұрын
@@alextubekis123 that's not how animation, or comedy, works. It had to have gone through storyboards first, and the same joke repeated twice instantaneously would not be funny; running gags work because there's plenty of space in between them (no storyboards have ever resurfaced either). Also, the episode without a second transformation scene is the exact run time of a normal episode, and they time these things in the storyboard process long before animation begins, so it wouldn't have been animated anyway because it would've made the episode too long. Why bother going through the process to animate something that's just going to get cut. Also, I was about 20 when this episode premiered, and if there had been a second scene, it would've been talked about back then; this is just a false memory that's become viral only over the course of the last few years.

Okay, I can fully debunk one of the things in the video, and it's the comment about "Cuffed Together" being seen by someone from Chile. I know because... I'm that someone. I'm Javier Vera. Going entirely by memory, but here's the thing. Back then, when Angry Beavers was still airing new episodes, the only site keeping tabs on the episode airings was a guide made by Don Del Grande. Among the notes on his guide there was a mention of this rumored episode named "Cuffed Together" which was described as Norb and Dag being handcuffed to each while trying to get back home. Around the time, I caught an episode of Angry Beavers where something like that happened, so I e-mailed Don claiming that I saw on Nickelodeon Latin America that episode, but I told him I missed the opening titles (which I did). I also vaguely remembered at the time that I had seen that episode before, which is why I claimed to have seen it twice. Don commented on this on his guide at the time, and the comment stood there for years. But what happened? Well, turns out I was wrong. The episode I saw was actually "Sans-a-Pelt", a very real AB episode which features Norb and Dag handcuffed to each trying to get back home. I saw the episode in full several months later, and while I did recall my comment to Don, I likely brushed it off as no big deal back then. I certainly never expected the comment to still be matter of discussion nearly 20 years later. So there you have it. I have no idea if "Cuffed Together" is real or not, but I can most definitely assure that I never saw it. Hope that you at least read this comment and enough people see it to at least debunk that part of the rumor for future discussions. Feel free to contact me privately to discuss this.

Why do I feel like the reason the name "Johnny Quasar" was changed to "Jimmy Neutron" was the possibility of a trademark lawsuit due to the fact that there was the cartoon Johnny Quest? It was an action cartoon from the 1960s, that was made by Hanna-Barbera. Notice the last piece of Johnny Quasar media that was made with that name before the final name change in "Runaway Rocketboy" (1998) was made in 1997. 1997 was when Time Warner bought Turner Broadcasting. Time Warner owned at the time Warner Bros. Pictures. It's possible that Johnny Quasar's name was changed because Warner Bros. Pictures may have planned a Johnny Quest movie. I know one was planned in the 2000s, but it's possible one was planned as early as 1997.
@thicc_astley2 жыл бұрын
this would make sense, but Warner Bros. also made the 2005 cartoon Johnny Test - which seems even easier to confuse with Johnny Quest than Johnny Quasar was, so if they were worried about people confusing Johnny Quasar with Johnny Quest i feel like they wouldn’t have made a show with an even more similar name. it could still be the case, just doesn’t add up in my eyes

AFAIK, the original production version of I Was A Teenage Gary has in fact been found. It doesn't have the scene. Repeat, the original copy of the episode in question *does not have the scene*, which means the scene never existed. Multiple people who saw it when it aired, myself included, have footage or just straight up don't recall that scene ever existing. It was likely just that either the bubble transition was forgotten (we have had episodes lose whole amounts of audio before, like the one in Spongebob's backyard with the reef blower) or the artists wanted to see if a more clear-cut wipe would work, and it didn't. Besides, if pieces of an episode were going to be cut, they would have just been... cut out, the way that it was cut out in the episode where Squidward loves krabby patties and breaks into the restaurant at night to get one. It would make no sense to cut the episode and then draw attention to it with a wipe transition anyway.

I understand with the time gap it doesn't really make sense. However, you really have to think about it. Paramount was in charge when the movie was highly likely in the conceptual phase and making the early rough drafts of the scripts. The team continued to work on the film, even after being bought out by Viacom. Viacom probably didn't like the idea of the movie, so they ultimately scrapped what was already made? It's possible?

If there's ever another future episode of Nickelodeon lost media, I'd love one of them to feature the show "All That." There were two skits from that show that I distinctly remember that I hope someone else does too: 1. An "America's Got Talent/American Idol" parody that ran at least twice. The first time time it aired it featured a girl eating a harmonica and an African-American boy who decapitated himself after firing a cannon. The second time it aired it featured a white boy wrestling a piano and another one who electrocuted himself into dust. 2. A "Fear Factor" type aftershow with the cast in where each time three different members would potentially face that show's disgusting task, and one of them getting randomly selected to do it. I remember one task was having cockaroaches climbing all over you (with the kid wearing an oxygen mask so he could breathe) and another involving being naked while having food thrown at you. If anyone else remembers either of these skits, please let me know where I might be able to find them.

I was watching Nickelodeon a lot when I was a kid, but I remember an ident or a group of idents that used to air around the mid or late 2000's. If I remember correctly, it had a person (only their hands are shown, and I remember that it was a man) making a food dish (I think one of the foods was a sandwich), but then added in ketchup and mustard and mixed them up to make an orange condiment, which had the "NICKELODEON" words added after that, and then I saw another one where the same person that made it ate it up. I don't know if they are actually real or not, but I sometimes have that memory in my head. The idents were also shot in live action. There are a few Nickelodeon interstitials that are similar, like a "Now Back to the Show" bumper where a sandwich was made (but it was made in animation instead of live action and from the 90's), a Nick Extra segment called "Pickled Plankton", and the "Toast" ident. The idents are also similar to the Where's Lunch logo. I tried to find them, but with no luck at all.

I do seem to recall watching an episode of Angry beavers that had a plot like that. I live in the UK and my older sister used to watch a lot of Nicktoons when I was growing up, so it was on all the best time.

12:25 well the purchase itself doesent have had to have been the thing stopping the movie perhaps viacom had a different mindset from original owners and so the quote was him being angry about the new owners and then stopping the production when the previous owners most likely wouldnt

The ahh real monsters quote I think is meant to be read as the film isn’t dark and they weren’t planning on making it dark in the first place, not that they weren’t planning on making it (the movie) in the first place. But the point still stands that it’s likely not even a real quote so doesn’t matter that much haha

This video's a compilation of LSuperSonicQ's older videos, so fittingly some of the material here is pretty outdated by now. But in the case of Johnny Quasar, he did upload the update bit talking about how the short was found.

44:19 i actually think there's a chance that episode 29 does exist. first off people remember seeing it, which i think deserves more attention. people are interested in finding this episode because they remember it. yes there are trolls but come on. people actually swear that they have seen it. my own theory is that the creator was unhappy with that episode in terms of his artistic vision for the show, and changed his mind. this would explain why he wont release it. yes, he should, but he is an artist. these characters are his life. if he truly believes that the story shouldnt have this element, i can see why he would lie about it. also the fact that he wont speak on it supports this too. if he confirms its existence, fans will know (obviously). if he denies its existence BUT somehow, a VHS recording turns up, it will be really weird like..why did you lie? so by insinuating the episode doesnt exist, he is able to motivate people to stop searching for it, but also unsure if someone else possesses a copy.

I remember a lot of rumors about Invader Zim cancelled movies before the actual movie came out. The idea about Real Monsters being "too dark" is typical of fan theories. There's no real sources back then and there wasn't Twitter to verify celebrity identities. So you end up with a lot of misinformation for literally no reason. The internet is just full of trolls and I really don't know what their motivation is. That being said, it's probably not too far out of the question that a movie was pitched in meetings and that's how far the idea went. I'd like to know how many rumored movies based on TV shows were in actually in development and how far.

I think that I have a theory about kurt cobain and rend and stimpy, maybe both were already famous, but the executives didn't recognize him and brushed him off or he brought them a tape and it was on the landfill by the time they knew who he was.

For the Ahh Real Monsters film rumor, I could've sworn there's a Creepypasta with nearly the exact same plot, that there was a lost episode or movie of the show that was so graphic and grim. I think Tats Top Videos mentioned it in one of their Creepypasta vids?

i don't believe the Kurt Cobain story. i think the most likely explanation would be, Kurt walked in, none of the execs recognized him because Nirvana was still juuuust underground enough that he wouldn't be immediately recognizable to people who weren't in the know, and then later one of them happened to see him on tv and recognize him. however, i don't see this as super likely if only because of the geography. Nirvana was based in Aberdeen, WA and Spumco was based in LA. it's not impossible Kurt ended up in LA and tried to pitch the song, but it does feel like a stretch. i'd be more willing to believe it if Spumco and Nirvana were based in the same area and it was more convenient for Kurt to actually try to sell the song, but given the circumstances, i don't think it happened.

Blues Clues is STILL running TO this day. Albeit QUITE different from the original with Steve. (Mini Theory: Was Blues Clues Steve and Minecraft Steve one in the same?) O.G. Steve got to old (just like all of us) to continue hosting the show. So they had to fine a new host. He has a new color striped shirt. It's all in HD now. And UPDATED for the latest tech. New Blues Clues is NOT as good as OG Blues Clues. = o ) You can STILL get/find OG Blues Clues on DVD & i'm also sure Blueray. (LoL.. Blues Clues on Blueray.)
