Fun fact about this scene, they wanted the actors to look like real prisoners so they hired real biker gangs to be in this scene. Unbeknownst to the crew, they were 4 rival gangs there. Fortunately no incidents happened.

They just don't make surrealistic comedy like this anylonger. It doesn't really help that all the great dead-pan actors area dead too. Leslie Nielsen was the ultimate king and he never really had any lined up to fill his shoes. Despite being an actor in a setting that was made to be completely off the charts and didn't really NEED one to be a good actor, he just made a convincing act of fitting in so perfectly. Extremely professional and talented!
