Can you use a carnauba wax on the frame?
@ChrisbyBike2 жыл бұрын
Hi Global Adventurer I did some research and found that carnauba wax is widely used to protect car paint. Assuming that our Brompton's frame are painted steel. I think it's a good idea to use carnauba wax on the frame, being very careful not to get it on the seatpost. Nice to have you on board!

Sorry Chris, I didn't catch the name of the spray lubricant for all the movable parts.
@ChrisbyBike2 жыл бұрын
Hi Cher Del For the moving parts I use a silicone wax callBici Pro Polodor PTFE for the frame and painted parts and a dregreacer like WD-40 for metal parts. Some places require grease. Nice to have you on board!

@@ChrisbyBike lol. I read about some people greasing the cable housing at the friction point. Alternative is a sticker I guess 🤔
@ChrisbyBike3 жыл бұрын
Hi Singapore Untold Channel I use stickers and Velcro to protect those friction spots. But, sadly, I've learn about it after my frame got scratches. This would be the first thing I would do on a new Brompton. Keep Safe! Keep Riding!
