This arrangement and performance makes me stop to get emersed in the music. The song is just as live as if being sung. When the performance finished I felt I should clap even though I'm not in the audience. The accompanying musicians also so talented. That violin sounds like it's 'singing' and emotionally charged with the sentiment of the lyrics. Just so emotive.

Lucia played in Cleveland a couple years ago. My son and I went down to see her. It was in a small, beautifully restored hall in the theater district - perfect for her. There was a small audience - perhaps 100-150 people - a whole lot less than some of the huge audiences she has played for. And yet she made the audience feel as if this was the most important concert she had ever given! Such emotion, such honesty, such purity! I obviously have never met her, but she seems like such a sweetheart! I dearly hope she comes this way again!

Lucia, your violin soars when it’s tucked under your chin but it’s your piano player I want to draw attention to. He is sooooo good. Not overly ornamental, just right. He’s a great accompanist. Treat him well. He’s a keeper!!!

Lucia: When I listen to you play, I realize, you're not playing notes a page. You're playing from from within the notes. You're on a different plane. It's as if you're on a path, and even though you may be playing the piece for the thousandth time, each time, there's something new for you to see, to feel, to express. You share with us how the notes relate to one another, how the tensions between them are created, how they resolve, how the dynamics relate to one another and so on. Obviously, you've got incredible chops, but more than that, your ability to communicate the emotion in the music, combined with your emotional journey as you perform it, touches everyone who hears it. Thanks for sharing your immense talent and your emotional experience.
