Ok I heard this track back in 1999/2000 in a greek club. I never knew the artist or even remember the lyrics so i can search for it. Since then i had this song stuck in my mind trying to find it among hundreds of trance compilations, no luck. My long time quest never succeeded. I only remembered the bass line and the "bjork-esque" vocals in the breakdown. Tonight in 2024 while listening to old school trance I thought "hey i never found that song i was looking for, who knows maybe i never will" and all of a sudden the "i can't help myself" line comes to mind out of nowhere but i wasn't sure. I googled "I can't help myself trance" and voila! Human mind works in mysterious ways, it can remember little things like this even after 25 years, crazy

i actually remember quite clearly in 97, essence in nottingham on a friday night. there was 2 dance floors, one below the dj box and one surrounding the dj box (about 1.5 metres higher than the lower dance floor). I was on the lower dance floor and the judge dropped this. so many hands in the air at the same time. the days before the judge played trance.

The 90's were awesome, but the small town clubs ruined them with 80's music. I could never understand why local clubs weren't playing these amazing tracks, who needs drugs with this music. It's just pure feel good energy music!! The best nights of my life will always be the nights out in Ibiza in '97.

On occassion I'd go out on a weekday night and party all night, take the first train home, shower and then go to work with no sleep!
