I'm an extremely emotional person. Especially with music. But I come from a broken home and I had to learn how to not show or talk about how I felt or I'd get hit. My outlet...my escape and my release was always in music. I'd just listen and cry when I was really young...but I started playing bass when I was 10. I'm 35. And I cant tell you how many tears have fallen on that thing. I play when I'm happy. I play when I'm sad. I play when I want to give and give in to the constant voice in my head telling me to just kill myself already...music got me through all that. And it still gets me through everything. I can be me when I'm playing music...I can cry. I dont have to pretend I'm ok when I'm not. As I said I usually dont cry...but this made cry like a little girl. It was beautifully sad.
