These people have the ability to make their reality whatever they want They are aware that it's a dream and they can make it the one that they want But they're scared to change anything and they're scared to wake up because they've been in the reality where they have the capacity to hurt the people they love in ways that they would probably kill someone else for The hyperawareness of their capability to do that eats away at them and takes away any form of escapism Their brains can't block out the memory with the barrier of a dreamscape because they're hopping between them The curse of knowing everything is knowing you can't prevent anything Knowing you can, will, and have hurt someone is worse than believing you can control yourself and being wrong Because on one hand "That's not me I would never" and then you do and it's a mistake and you weren't in your right mind but on the other hand "that could be me. It's inevitable. I love you so much and yet one day I will treat you like I never loved you at all" Nicholas Podany you have truly outdone yourself

Benjamin’s little “*oliver?*” at 4:53 got to me. Nicholas I wanted to let you know this work of yours is incredible. I only just found this series and it’s had an incredible impact. Recently I’ve been going through some rough times and some points in this really hit home. I respect that as a creator myself, that level of skill to be able to touch people’s hearts with the content you make. This series is incredible and I’m so glad you’ve made it and it’s prequels. I can’t wait (but am also sad) to see it ending. If by chance make a compilation of your favorite scores or scenes from this project? If it hasn’t been done already. Alright so I’m not gonna pretend I understand what’s going on here lmao, but I can’t help but wonder if this is all a form of dissociation? Like the “original dreamer” went through and experienced some really bad losses in their life (as shown with the characters; Benjamin losing his wife, Mrs. Hills losing her son, and Oliver losing his brother) and so it’s like a form of self projection onto all of these characters the creator made up in their head. Idk I’m still trying to figure out what the hell is going on lol, it was just a thought that crossed my mind but I could be waaayyy off haha

This is absolutely STUNNING, but holy shit, I still have so many questions! I mean, in one of the previous episodes, Mrs. Hills says something about how the further into Dreamscapes you are, the slower time in your reality moves. But Benjamin’s dreamscape is only one up from his reality and he managed to live 15 years in less than an hour. Also, compared to Oliver’s dreamscape, Benjamin’s dreamscape is just.....super weird in general? Time doesn’t move in any kind of linear way (like how he doesn’t know if he’ll go to sleep and be pre- or post- divorce), and how he remembers his life with Isabelle but doesn’t remember major events like cheating on her. Maybe it’s because Oliver hasn’t woken up, but it seems much more like an actual reality than Benjamin’s, which seems to follow some kind of weird rules in regards to Isabelle especially. I’m going to be waiting on the edge of my seat for the finale, that’s for sure.
