Lucifer is a show about redemption. The procedural aspect doesn’t matter even though the fact that Lucifer works as a consultant is a part of his redemption. Redemption isn’t only for Lucifer either. I’d say Amenidiel, Dan Maze and more. The theme is obvious.

Agree 👍 Its not just a procedural show, its dramatic show that referres to some character and relationship development. That scene was important as for Lucifer's development as a character and also his relationship development with Chloe too. Other reactors never skip this scene

The characters are what makes this series so great. The detective plotlines can be cliché AF, there are plotholes all over I'm sure, but I don't even care because I don't think there has been a single character who I haven't enjoyed following.Except maybe Azrael, but that's more due to the season 3 fuckery where her episode just feels out of canon.

The two episodes at the end of S3 are just episodes that don’t fit because they were filmed before cancled and I believe they were suppose to be apart of S4 before Netflix picked it up from grave. And yes the characters are what makes this show great. It’s so character driven and the procedural aspect doesn’t matter. It reminds me of white collar on that way.

This was always one of my favorites. Mazekine really makes an effort to keep her friend and slowly succeeds. Lucifer gets a taste of his own mocking medicine from detective deuch. A therapist is the perfect choice to reveal yourself to. She can emphasize after a fay or two. ❤

Good episode. The police procedural aspect tends to be my least favorite part of the show but since it was a more personal case for Chloe , it worked better for me. The characters and their interactions is where this show shines..it kinda reminds me of Castle in that respect. Maze becoming a bounty hunter is such a great yet obvious step for that character and Luci & Dan are always fun to watch together!!.

They are very similar shows, but I think Castle had some pretty decent procedural plots. For me, Lucifer's cop stories have never been better than serviceable. But I love the characters and Celestial storylines so much that I don't mind

Yes, that was really weird, they just cut the whole scene out, they're the first reactors to do that, Deckerstar is probably the most important part of the show and is pivotal to Lucifer's growth, but oh well 🤐

They just aren't that interested in the Deckerstar stuff, they don't have anything against it but they're not that into it. The reason probably being they recognise the show as a procederal so they already know that Lucifer and Chloe are gonna get together.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if you don't notice or don't want to notice that the core of the series revolves around Chloe and Lucifer's relationship. Of course with the background of a good framed story and lots of great side characters, but the really important moments revolve around the two. I was actually looking forward to seeing a group of guys interpret and discuss the funny, tragic, absurd and exciting relationship stuff, unfortunately it has been completely ignored by you guys so far. This is a shame and I hope you start to analyse more of this stuff and less about the cases in each episode . Perhaps you cut out all this stuff in the short Version for you tube but anyway... It would be more interesting as a discussion about BDSM over a few minutes 😏

You guys keep skipping all the important character moments whether it's about Lucifer or Deckerstar. That's the core of the show, characters and their relationships, not the cases. Those are pretty average. I don't know if you do it on purpose so that we pay for them on patreon, but for me that's not gonna happen. It just makes me less excited to watch your reaction knowing you're gonna skip the good stuff and if you keep doing it I'll just drop them all-together.

@@mr.manguy3692 They also skip important Lucifer character moments. It's not just about a ship. Take a look at other comments and you'll see I'm not alone. In the episode "a priest walks into a bar" they cut the 2 best scenes of the episode. Only one of them was Deckerstar. The other, Lucifer's speech, was a really important scene for his character development and one of the best of the whole show. What is the point of focusing on the cases? If we wanted cases we would watch NCIS. Plus it's not my favorite ship. At this point in season 5 it's basically the whole show. It's how this type of shows are structured.

So true. I heard about Pinks before moving to LA and when I got there I was told I had to stand in line for their awesome hot dogs. I refused to stand in the really long line but found a day where there were only 10 people in front of me. I was sorely disappointed. Maybe if it hadn't been raved about I would have liked it more but I never went there again because it didn't live up to the hype. Wienerschnitzel has better hot dogs.

Man I love this show but the writing for the detective is just God awful and such a bland a prune character it's a shame it feels like there are 5 writers and two of them are doing an amazing job while the other 3 are just being lazy and just writing down pure schlock

I don’t really agree. I just think compared to the other characters story she comes off that way. In some ways her character reminds me of Olivia from fringe where people always said the same about her as well
