Great episode on showing how much he changed. He shows he has Amanediel's back. Him admitting he doesn't like who he is with Eve is a huge step in seeing he isn't the same person. That he wants to change.

I adore Eve. She was literally trying to be what she thought Lucifer wanted her to be, not that she should change, but just innocently and in love and doesn't understand why Lucifer has gone cold on her. He hurt her more by trying to spare her feelings by breaking up with her and instead get her to leave him. This ep broke my heat for Amendiel, his belief that humans are good and that the "good" people do the right thing is challenged to the max.
@leah68493 жыл бұрын
Also the moment that the gang is confronted and it appears they are going to all jump Amendiel, and Lucifer steps towards them and they all back up. oof the power.

The Bond of Lucifer and Amenadiel has been Amazing And they're my Favorite Characters
@thedarkknight22213 жыл бұрын
I absolutely love that this show has the balls to actually talk about issues like racism, especially when those cops nearly shot Amenadiel for doing literally nothing but trying to calm everyone down. And honestly I would’ve show up to those cops, alone, at night, shown them my wings, and tell them that my brother has a special spot in hell for them. This whole episode would’ve been axed if it were still on FOX. On a lighter note I loved how Eve and Linda bonded on how Lucifer takes the exact wrong message from everything they say. And honestly it is hard not to fall in love with with Eve in this episode.

This episode was so beautiful but in a somber way. The way that the show isn't afraid to showcase the real life police racism is great. It took a white cop with a badge to stop what shouldn't have begun in the first place. Also that ending scene with Lucifer and Linda was so heartbreaking. "Why do I hate myself so much!!!??" He did work a little, but also, he was stuck separated from his kids for months during the pandemic because he was filming in LA and they were in England with his ex. So I can’t blame him if he wanted to see them for a bit. He did “Players” and “Washington Black” among a few other projects. Plus, he and his wife have a new baby. There seemed to be a “strange” lull only to maintain their privacy. His absence does make sense.

Am I the only one who sees that Amenadiel is somewhat responsible for Caleb's dead? If he wasn't so full of himself thinking he's eqally good at granting favors or maybe even better at that than Lucifer Caleb would probably still be alive. Lucifer would handle the dealers way better having his experience with stuff like that. I literally have no idea why everybody give so much credit to Amenadiel. His pride and over pumped angelic ego caused lots of damage.
@IslesYankeeLady9 ай бұрын
Except in this case, no one cared that Caleb was in as deep as he was specifically because he was Black. He should have been looked out for in a very fancy private school, not seeking out drug dealers in the first place. He was an easy target for Lexi. The system failed him. And no, I don’t think Lucifer would have handled it any better. He’s impulsive and angry too. The POINT of this episode was to dramatize that Black men get ignored and attacked even when they haven’t done anything wrong, even by police, because of their skin color. Amenadiel being an angel has no experience with human’s discrimination until he lives among them. DB’s talked about this episode at cons. He’s understandably very passionate about it. The episode was influenced by his own experiences. He grew up in NYC. It’s good of the show to confront the issues happening in reality.

I think lucifer works so well because, for the type of show it is, you average tv viewer likely sets a low standard in terms of general quality...so the fact that it properly extends beyond those expectations a decent amount of time makes it an easy enjoyable watch. Like if I watched this with the same level of judgement of a dc or marvel movie i'd likely be disappointed. Tho speaking of it would be dope to see Lucifer in a DC project with a high budget, i'd probably lose my shit.

Have to disagree; now don't get me wrong ill be the first to bitch about writers putting in woke stuff just for the sake of pushing a message, but here they included the message but didn't sacrifice story telling to do it. The ever optimistic angel was confronted with the reality that the world has darkness and developed as a character. It wasn't just "racism bad" and moving on with the show without it having any impact
