I absolutely love Chloe in season 5, she has moments where she's clearly very capable but it doesn't deprive her of her humanity or relatability. on her own, she foiled Michael's plan to impersonate Lucifer and the first shot we see of her post-kidnapping is her figuring out how to escape herself, which I really appreciate. chloe missed out on all the celestial drama from the first 3 seasons because she didn't know about it, and season 4 was more about inner conflict which allowed all the characters to grow. I really hope the writers stick the landing and portray her as the badass she is in part B, especially now that God's paying a visit to earth and michael claims his plan is close to coming together.

In fact in the end it was what made Chloe realize that Michael was not Lucifer. Still the point is Maze is an emotionally unstable character, with that in mind she is bound to do things irrational. Also thinking about how she is constantly feeling betrayed and left out, she feels she cannot ever truly connect with someone without a soul so I can understand a character like her becoming obsessed with getting one. Lucifer also constantly said harsh things to her which is obviously not helping in the end and the logic of her believing she can get one since a lot of things that were deemed impossible has been happening lately like Lucifer getting hurt and falling in love. Her actions in the end makes perfect since with her character and I can't help but sympathize with maze of not having and soul.
