Even though I was born in the 90’s, my dad had this movie on VHS, and I’d watch it every year growing up. My favorite song was the dream sequence one. Classic movie.

A month ago, we featured Claude Bolling’s magnificent music for the 1971 cartoon “Lucky Luke - Daisy Town”. Now we will take a look on its sequel “La Ballade Des Dalton”, released in 1978 and again directed by René Goscinny, who died during production, tragically at a checkup in hospital. Although he died way too soon, he will be never forgotten in the European area, because of his legendary figures, such as Lucky Luke or Asterix. For “La Ballade Des Dalton” the focus of the music lied more on vocals. Much singing, themes and less incidental music. Nevertheless, original and with the special Claude Bolling touch. Enjoy!

According to the Wikipedia french page of the film, besides Singin' in the Rain: White Christmas, Bathing Beauty, and Broadway shows like the Ziegfeld Follies or Busby Berkeley musicals... among others.
