i saw lucy open for king krule in salt lake last year, he would be performing his song and then randomly start whispering “salt lake city, salt lake city, salt lake city, salt lake city” between verses. the whole crowd started moshing and chanting salt lake city with him. truly one of my favorite concert memories

@@jeffp.9369 yeah lots of old DW doesnt fuck with Lucas no more, which i believe came down to artistic differences and money, which isn't rare for a smaller music collective. Gods Wisdom and Morimoto (the latter finding more success and getting coverups for his DW tats) really don't rock with DJ at all, but Lucy seems amicable enough with him.

lucy consistently one of my fav artists, his songs grow over time heavy for me. His back catalog is just filled with classics for me now. Seen him live twice, he's a really great performer. Always a small handful of people there singing the lyrics along with him, truly love this guy. I’ll be honest this comes as a pretty big surprise. I saw Lucy open before King Krule and his music and overall style were very odd, yet extremely lighthearted. The audience didn’t respond to him very well though and most of the crowd was laughing at him or not taking his music very seriously. I’m not sure I enjoyed it, but it was definitely memorable and I’m interested to see where he goes from here.
