JUST rescued this sweet baby yesterday (Tuesday) evening. She is about 10 weeks old, and was hit by a car some time the previous night outside a friend's home. She has some sort of shoulder injury,... dislocation or broken.. nerve involvement I suspect, as there is no reflexive response in the paw and the forelimb (her right) is limp and floppy. The shoulder blade is "dropped" - hanging down. Only an X-Ray will show what is going on.. she goes into the vet tomorrow.. PLEASE pray for full restoration of limb function .. IF there is damage to the radial nerve from a dislocation or break, that IS serious and can result in amputation.. she is making muffins, but ONLY with her left paw.. she is a doll and has eaten well and pooped but not yet peed.. I have given her a little CBD oil plus kitty painkiller that I had left over from a spay and she has settled down nicely for the night in the main bathroom. AND we (John W Snyder and I) are in love with her already! OK!! UPDATE - VET VISIT and VIDEO! UPDATE Yes, it was a 2 1/2 hour wait and she was SO good.. confirmed a major shoulder injury with extensive nerve damage as I thought. The right front leg IS completely paralysed but everything else looked good. Her gums seem to be a little less pale today.. the vet was happy.. no signs of internal bleeding. ONLY if complications occur related to the injury such as pressure sores, further injury or Neurogenic pain develops would they consider amputating it ❤ So today, we are praising the Lord - a LOT!! AND we called her Lucy!!
