I learned EU4 by playing Switzerland in an MP game with friends earlier this year. I didn't abuse the ability that well as I was new but I totally could've had several hundred mercenaries at any given time late-game if I so chose to. Very fun to form Germany as Switzerland later on, would recommend.

Hey Ludi, could you try to do a Ryukyu campaign? I’ve been loving playing Ryukyu, but I feel like I’m struggling keeping in pace with Japan and Korea in my games. (Korea almost always has renaissance and colonialism before anyone else in Asia.) By like 1550 I barely have Taiwan and Philippines so it’d be cool to see you do a Ryukyu run!

9:40 Playing a game in HRE right now, they asked me before I was allied, but never while we were allied. I've also played several other games in the HRE in the latest patch, and as long as you're allied to the emperor, they don't ask you to give back land.

Since you can rely on mercs a lot longer than other nations can and since you can generate so much mana from your leader, and since you're mainly just getting cores at the beginning, I think Swirtzerland might be one of the few nations that starting with an admin idea might make sense. You could go Admin since it's so strong and also helps with your mercs. Or you can go Innovative for all the cool stuff that it does.

I love your content I've seen it for years, but a question I wanted to address is the lack of late game content, especially about the era of absolutism, tips with several countries on how to climb, and how to act even in the late game, sometimes I get lost in some games not knowing where to go or expand, what is the right time, how to deal with rebels, what time to take away privileges to rise to max absolutism. among other things, if I could make videos originating this I think it would be of great help to me and the whole community.

and also for my play style. i put my ass to france.. and i never rush for instutiutons. just waiting 100% and i accept for 1 ducat. at that time i dev up country.. i choose clegy for relicious culture for production tax etc buff.. full dev-cost buff.. and make all Romandie and Switzerland states 30dev.. use adm point for more benefit. extra building slots.. and choose parlamento. "like england" with religious culture buff wth clergy.. production buff wirh burghers.. 30dev 10 provinces.. expanding infestructure and forming parliament seat gives estra extra and extra buff.. and parliamental event i can gain extra dev cost or merchantalism or other good buff.. after protestant i can tale extra dev cost and production buff as well.. i have only 10 provinces with full 30dev.. and i can gain 15-20 ducats per month.. i take full trade steering from konstantz, salutzo, bregenz, (or bergenz) augsburg, oh damn.. and i steal french sweet money with favor.. goddam.. soo good. 😍
