Ludi there is a funny exploit now with professional army you have no conscripts. So the revolutions will have no units if you are only holding army in your capital that will never be taken in revolution so basicly you can force pass all the good laws at the beggining of the campaing without caring about how many times revolution will fire :D

Queen Isabella II of Spain ruled from 1833(as a 3 year old) till she was overthrown in 1868 and replaced by a prince of the house of savoy who abdicated in 1873, three years into his reign and ended up being replaced by Isabella's son Alfonso XII. Isabella died in 1904 aged 73.

Well sorry to be a historical schnapeldoop but actually Alfonso XII was not restored immediately in 1873 there was a brief republican democratic regime known as "primera republica" which is why in 1936 the regime was calles the second republic. General Martinez Campos made a coup (or pronunciamento)early 1874 which led to the restauration of the bourbons. Excuse me for being tedious, but this period is quite fascinating. To learn more, read about the "sexenio democràtico", which is how historians named the period between 1868 and 1874

Besides what said the lad above me, she didn't rule since se was three, in 1833 his father died but, as you said, she was 3 so her mother started a regency until she was forced to exile because the liberals were angry at her so Espartero was made regent. He was regent until 1843, when after bombarding Barcelona (yes you read that well) he was ousted in favor of a conservative government and THEN Isabel started her reign at 13 years old.

After Isabella's dismissal a Hohenzollern prince was invited to become king of Spain in 1870 - which enraged the French. After being provoked by Bismarck they declared war on Prussia - which brought the German unification. Thank you Isabella!

That Savoyard Prince was Amadeo, the second son of King Victor Emmanuel II of Italy, and I think he considered his abdication to be something of a relief. After having to deal with the volatility of Spanish politics for the entirety of his short reign, from the petty infighting to Carlist agitation to numerous assassination attempts, he had essentially had enough of Spain and just gave up. During his final speech to the Spanish Cortes he declared the Spanish people to be 'ungovernable' and asserted that Spain's greatest enemy was itself.

As Spain, you can create Iberean Union by vassalizing Portugal and having pan-nationalizm, if I remember correctly. This will give you Portuguese as an accepted culture, as well as all of their land and colonies directly. Also, for the part 2 you should retake Gibraltar, not only the South America

pro tip is to research atrmospheric engine before lathe. when its at 10k research you can switch research to lathe and then you will atmospheric engine faster that way

If you want super easy expansion in South Africa just use the obligation Portugal owes you at the beginning of the game, they'll give you lourenço marquez (the province right next to gaza) or the sunda islands for the obligation

I despise revolutions in Vic 3. After I had it once it ruined my entire nation and I just decided to find a mod that would allow me to just ignore the group approval. I haven't had to deal with a revolution since I first started playing Vic 3, and I don't feel like doing that again. There is no fun to be had there I just want to build up a super economy
