It's half way through the year and so I'm due a check in on how this year is going. I take a look at the games I've been playing and how my goals for the year are progressing. The Platinum Grandslam, the dream to hit 10k - am I on track or falling behind

I love seeing this Lucy, I've started my own goals this year is to just play games on my trophy list. Finally 6 years later i played GoW 2018 for the first time. Absolutely loved the story.

Well done Lucy! You can achieve both challenges.🍀 My challenge goal is to finish 20 games in a year (5 games per quarter of the year) I finished 9 games (2 long & 7 short games) in 2024. In my backlog are Transport Fever 2 (PS4) [58/62 trophies] & RaceDriver: GRID (PS3) [31/51 Championships won]

I am on the quest to get to 10k trophies, too. But I have given up my goal of ever reaching 75% completion rate. Since then I have more fun playing games, but I also lost my focus, which sucks. But I guess, I can’t have both. I slowed down quite a bit. If I don’t reach 10k trophies this year, it will do it next year. No problem. I had multiple years of earning more than 1k trophies. So, I am not stressed about it. I am sure, you will reach both of your goals. There is plenty of time in the year.

Great video, Lucy! Nice to see how you're ticking along so far. I think as long as you stay motivated and focused, you will be able to achieve your goals for the year. As long as you have small games to boost your trophy count in between the longer grand slam games, you should be able to make it. I believe in you!!! 💪

I have faith that you will get both done Lucy. I'll see if I can recommend some shorter games with a good number of trophies for you. I'm aiming for 150 plats by the end of the year started at 99 and have 127 so doing well so far. Also aiming for 6000 total trophies have 5524 right now and have earned 1131 trophies so far this year.

I got the platinum in GOW ragnarok today, it took me like 60hrs but that was me very much taking my time. So i would say its very do able for you if your actively going for it.

My goals have kind of flew out the window. I wanted to be a bit cheeky and do 12 games that launched to largely bad reception. Tortured Platinums. Not necessarily all Gollum level bad, but I do want to do that out of morbid curiosity, and I started off with Forspoken, then got Anthem (very time consuming) and more recently got the XIII Remake. But idk, too many good games coming out so I lost steam in doing it. It’s been an interesting experience though. And I did start Fallout 76, but I know I’ll have to devote myself to it or lose it so quit pretty early for another day. I at least want to finish de Blob 2’s tedious platinum this year so I can not play it any more. It’s so annoying to play for the trophies. I wanted to stack it someday but no way I’m doing it again. It is not a fun list. At least not to do in one playthrough (all collectibles in levels with missables, plus no upgrades and the gameplay is timed, just annoying)

I believe you'll at least get to 70% of your goal by September. Whether or not you're at 75% or greater will completely depend on how much frolicking in the sun you partake in. The summer grass will ask you to touch it and touch it often.

I need some advice guys. I'll try and keep this as short as possible. So basically I've had my PlayStation account for over 12 years and looking back at my Trophy Collection, I basically regret buying and playing all those easy 1 minute Platinum Trophy games. My PlayStation Trophy Collection might look impressive at first having over 1000 Platinum Trophies but I've played hundreds of those easy Platinum Trophy games so it's not impressive really. Don't get me wrong I also have decent Platinum Trophies on my account as well. I just should of only of bought and played the games I wanted to buy and play, not because of easy Platinum Trophies. So because of all of this, I was thinking about creating a new PlayStation account? The only problem as I said earlier is that I have like over 12 years of time, effort and money spent on my account. So what would you guys do if you felt the same way? Would you start again? Would you just carry on with your account but just now only buy and play the games you want to buy and play? Any advice would be great.

Keep the account as is and play what you enjoy. I like to think about it this way, it is a platinum journey whether it was easy or hard.

Working at a good firm now, barely can get my ps put of its box, currently on the xbox one before giving it up lol, i will reach 50k points and then focus on ps4 only until I get a few platinums and jump to ps5 pro this winter.

Here’s what you do. Stop caring about trophies. I’m at 9,998 trophies. I have 122 Platinums. I was at 9,990 trophies a year ago. It’s wild that I’m stressing on my 10,000th trophy. That is a sign to stop caring.
