Totally get what you're saying here. I think it's because Chris always played with such finesse and precision while art has always played with power and agression. funny, was at the Killswitch show in LA, I met some dude in the quiet T-shirt line who was wearing a LOG shirt, I was wearing the same, we were just talking metal...and next you thing you know there is this guy making his way towards us coming up to us pretty quickly saying "those are the best shirts I've seen anybody wear all night" I said kneejerk,,,I know man, best band ever dude, --took me a minute to recognize who I was speaking to through all that hair...it was Art Cruz LOL, he was like yeah, I think so too haha--then he bought a t-shirt.

I love that his meinl cymbal set up is very close to Chris's set up. He keeps his performances as close to Chris's as possible. Chris always chose unique cymbals and his splash work is his signature. Art does a great job of replicating Chris's sound.

And when doing double bass stuff like this, the pillows are crucial, because you wouldn't be able to identify individual strokes, because it'd all bleed into one another
