It seems like Emeth never actually met Joy Boy in the past…..if Luffy doesn’t go back to the past (we know there is time travel) and tell someone that he will change the world, this stuff isn’t adding up. Unless part of the original Joy Boys powers were knowing the future, how could he be so certain of when the new Joy Boy would show up? Hear me out, Luffy goes back, meets this original person. Tells him that his name is Monkey D Luffy and learns of the issues in the ancient kingdom. Luffy says he will fix or protect or something about the future and leaves. The original Joy Boy then puts things in place to help guide people in the future. I feel like at some point Luffy will get memories back or it will all add up.
