It never fails to amaze me how such a huge plane ✈️ can just roll down the runway and lift off into the air and that 747 is such a gorgeous plane to watch. I really love to watch the spotting videos from the Frankfurt Airport since there are always so many different airlines from all over the world. Thanks for sharing!

I just LOVE this video. It is so well made with so many different perspectives, and also gives you so much information about the takeoff routines, checks and procedures. I love flying on the 747-400 and the 747-8i even more! They have the fastest cruise speed of a commercial jet in service, so it's always cool when you pass like 4+ aircraft on the same transatlantic route as your flight.

ich bin stolz darauf in der nähe des größten airports in europa zu wohnen. jeden tag sehe ich viele flugzeuge im ab- und landeanflug (60km bis nach frankfurt) und zähle das blinken am himmel wenn ich am fenster stehe. vor allem aber linse ich gerne auf die runways und die parkplätze der großen jungs, die sich direkt neben der a3 befinden, jedes mal wenn ich in richtung frankfurt fahre. mein favorit ist aber der runway, unter dem die autobahn durchführt. es sieht klasse aus wenn man da unter der unterführung durchfährt und es rollt gerade ein flugzeug darüber hinweg.

Lufthansa is one of the biggest airlines in Europe and one of the safest airlines in the world! In the past 12 years I have flown just with them from Los Angeles to Romania and they are great! I refuse to fly another airline! I have flown othe major airlines, but none made me feel safer than this one. And this comes from someone who has a fobia of flying. It's always weird that the speed at the moment of rotation always seems too low. It's just perception i guess, but it seems way too slow to be able to take off with, especially with extraordinarily large aircraft.

it has to do with the angle you're viewing it. If you look out the window from either side in the plane , you'd be amazed at how fast the plane is going right before rotation.

I was at FRA in October of 2015. The entire airport was getting remodeled. When we boarded for BUD, we had to board a bus which took us to the Lufthansa Jet that was parked with several others out on a taxi area. Hopefully most of the construction has been completed and there are enough gates to handle all the traffic.

I am so glad I had an opportunity to fly the 747 one more time from Toronto to Frankfurt. The 747 abosrbs runway bumps better than the 777 during take off run, kind of like a body on frame American full size.

@@billyreynolds4749 2019 and people still like doing plane dick-measuring contests on the internet? If you were a true aviation geek you'd know it's pointless to compare planes since they're all unique and designed to fill different niches in the market. The 747 is an amazing plane but I've just flown in a Singapore Airlines a350 last week and it is just miles ahead of any 747 I've flown in terms of comfort. The simple fact of it being pressurized to 6k ft instead of 8k makes it a thousand times better for passengers. The 747 is also on it's dying legs when it comes to passenger service (and rightfully so) since 4 engines are just too thirsty, and bring absolutely no advantages when compared to Long-range twin jets.
