Wow! What an amazing experience you had. I am jealous. The royal treatment you got in first class totally makes up for the turbulence in the beginning. The landing in Frankfurt was a bit rough. Sorry to hear you had to wait 30 minutes in the lounge to get noticed.

I have the choice of flying Swiss nonstop MIA/ZRH but I choose to fly LH First Class via FRA. It’s, IMHO, just a better inflight experience. Add to that, that I purposely give myself 2 hours to shower and refresh in the wonderful First Class Terminal. When I finally arrive in ZRH (Zug) I’m refreshed and happy to see my sister and brother in law. 😁

OK, this one i'm jealous about. Loved this review buddy, thanks for sharing. I do feel that first class passengers should be given a free WiFi pass though, a bit cheap if they don't. Really a great way to fly, I will probably never experience Lufthansa First class unless I save another 30,000 - 40,000 United miles, I will probably gain another 10,000 from a TAP business class flight. Just need to add a few more.

When I Travel The World You can always fly Frankfurt to Mumbai or Bangalore on their 747-8 in First class for 45K UA miles if you originate the trip in Cairo. The first segment to Frankfurt would be in business class. Have done this redemption twice myself and probably the best use of United miles on this planet.

While watching this video in my recliner: I didn't order the appetizers. But I would had taken the salad if there was no Parmesan on it. I rather have cottage cheese. For the main course I selected the turkey. I still had room in my stomach so I went for the apricot pistachio and vanilla ice cream. I let the flight attendant pick the chocolates for me. I put on the pajamas just to feel comfortable and I did take a nap. In the morning I had orange juice and scrambled eggs with no bacon and some fruit. I wish they had real coffee though.

Good video. I like the red roses, it's a nice touch. KLM use tulips. BA used to have roses but stopped for some reason. Thai use lots of beautiful orchids, everywhere, in the bathrooms, by your seat, with your food...makes a BIG difference to the general first class experience...it's something that's easily done & doesn't cost a great deal to the airline...

On longhaul, first class is definitely 5*, business not any close, eco is quite close to 5*, shorthaul both classes feels like a 3.5*, nice report as always

42 seconds for the takeoff roll. It looked really short, so I went back and timed it. Amazing. I think Lufthansa's cabin decor is the best: Navy blue, dove grey and white, with yellow accents from the logo, very classy but restful.

What a fantastic review..against all odds, turbulence and darkness:) Glad you stick to the truely "classic" style and spare us from too much silly music. Smiled at you ordering everything..thats just the way I do it whenever I fly First (too rarely, though). Food looked really amazing..didnt you take the Caviar? Also wine list was excellent. And I am glad that the service was so good. And an amazing language concept, hehe. Not only Switzerdütsch as a language on its own (glad for all my Swiss brothers and sisters of course)..but funny that they accounted for German in German (Deutsch), but Switzerdütsch in English:)?? Did this flight happen to be on 1/8? I flew SFO -> IAD that day on United, and the captain required FA's to remain seated for the first 60 minutes of the flight due to turbulence from the back side of a storm.

The kind of customer that annoys every FA and people around. Complains and demands about every single thing: "heavy" turbulence, "It was not the smoothest flight", "after a long while" the service finally started, "It was so yummy I had to order another one", " You don't give pijamas?" (asking this DURING meal service), the one that will have ALL the items from the service trolley and will eat even if not hungry, "FA forgot the cranberries, really made the difference", the one that of couuuuurrrrrrssse will ASK for the turndown service and complains if he doesn't get it even if he knows that won't sleep much, the one that will take all the amenities from the lavatories, the one that travels First Class or Business Class and complains about the Wifi fee and speed, the one that never uses all the assigned storage compartments but complains that there are not enough.
