I have both the blue G-10 and the green G-10 51's (amongst a number of fly-ti's) and the reason the green feels better is because it is slightly heavier than the original pattern and you can see this by the amount of G-10 that was removed from the originals (black model), vrs the green. With the green traditional holes more G-10 is left there, leaving more weight, with the slotted originals (and the blue G-10s) it has less G-10 making it ever so slightly lighter which makes it some what harder to keep spinning if you ask me. my two cents! I have the orange G-10 inbound!

lol, I have three balisongs and there illegal in my area. The police are not going to knock on your door to inspect your house for balisongs. Most police don't even know the laws with balisongs

I was wondering, which one would you ultimately prefer, if I buy one or the other it will be my most expensive knife and first benchmade, but about my 9th balisong. I am just wondering if the $15 price difference is worth it, and in the end I was hoping to get flytanium handle scales (Probably wont happen). I was just wondering what your opinion is the better "version", Love your videos and your great feedback

Knife Lover honestly personally I would go with the 1601 I love the green and the stonewash on the blade the traditional 51 feels better flipping but not enough of a difference to sway my choice it would be the green one

Just ordered a orange one, thought it looks cool and different than the original 51 that Everyone has lol!I hope this flips good.Ive only been flipping for a couple months and got a Bradley Kimura with the carbon fiber scales,and think it's ok,it's still in one piece lol, however I thought to myself"is this a little too Heavy?!"Come to find out it's almost 6 ounces!!!!And my orange 51 is 3.4 ounces!!!Oly Crap that's damn near Twice the weight!!!And I'm guessing the Bradley is too Heavy,and the 51 is too light?Now also thinking that's why tricks are harder to do?And I think the weight plus the balance makes it flip wonky!!I've heard nothing but good things about the 51 besides the weight,so I got my fingers crossed 😂 I'm most likely gonna buy some flyti timascus scales for it!!Some purple hardware and a Paracord latch 😉

Andrew the CatBug not the Morpho/51 model itself they normally only do dealer exclusives for a short time the 51-1601 will go out of production at some point

I also thought they would sell out too! but upon close inspection of mine I see that the grind lines on my limited green version, are usually off (way too high) to be exact, so maybe I'm staring to think that these are actually morphos with defects that are then sold or re-purposed to be limited editions??? let me know if yours has unusually high grinds or some kinda defects.

1AD7um1 my 1601 does not however I do own other Benchmades that have had finish issues like that I don't know if these are blemish models but I don't think so I have noticed Benchmade fit is almost always perfect but their finish varies from knife to knife I think they have got some lazy people on their quality control inspection line my theory on the 1601 is that they were originally limited edition dealer exclusives but they sold so well Blade HQ just kept ordering more making them not limited edition just a dealer exclusive but I don't know for sure

Oiling is essential for balisongs since it has the most pivot movement design on a knife. These flip nicely, but the weight takes time to adjust to. I love my 51.

It's fking Eth you can do that it's hard to find but there are people online who are willing to ship in parts you probably won't find a dealer who is willing but private sellers may be willing to work with you keep an eye on the forums every once in awhile somebody posts something nice

360Minecraft 62 is big bulky and can get scratched very easily and since it's heavy if you drop it you will either get super fucked by getting stabbed by it or it since it's overly heavy it will probably Break Off the tip. 51 is really really light and fast and it's easy to flip the only drawback about the 51 is that it is very light but it's supposed to be light

Balisong Newbie that depends if price is a concern if you can't justify over $500 on a knife I don't think you would appreciate the qualities the 87 brings to the table you have to be a pretty serious flipper or just irresponsible with money like me to spend that much on a knife the 51 all versions could be argued they're not the best flippers but what you get for the price not many other companies can compete
