@@pumelelabanca1442 I’m a mavericks fan, I watched most the games from Dirks last year and every year Brunson was a Mav.. Brunson float game and touch on his shot greatly improved over his time with the mavericks .. JJ Barea made a living getting into the paint and finishing over bigs with his floater, Dirk was a master on the blocks and had great touch on his shot, Luka kills everyone in the paint in every way possible, Devin Harris was a point guard that had been through everything during his time in the league and was still a good backup point guard late in his career .. Brunson definitely learned from those guys, any player that wants to be great (like Brunson does) would of learned from them

No, he's right. One of the criticisms of the Mavs before Brunson left was that he played too similarly to Luka and that without a variation on pace and style it would be too easy for teams to adjust to them in the playoffs. And you could see it pretty easily. Brunson picked up alot from Luka and the others like JJ and adapted it into his game. Personally I think Brunson could've continued to grow in Dallas and he and Luka could have won a championship together. Sad we didn't get to see it.

@@Sonicmixer85 I think that a reunion between the two will have a higher ceiling than if they had always stayed together. This period for Brunson on the Knicks gave him a lot of freedom to grow as a player. Edit: financially speaking tho it’s much less likely due to the amount of money Brunson is set to earn now.

Really interesting point. Greatest draft year for a single team. Definitely would have held more weight if they stayed together and won something but still we can look back and go wow. I’d be interested to know who even comes close to that. Probably an old laker or Celtic team lol

Jalen learned from watching Luka and owes much of his success to luka for his mentorship. Would not be who he is without luka

Man said, "I won't say it's the best draft class ever, ya but that dudes a hall a famer then I say yes." He was inspired and motivated and developed his game because he meet young LUKE SKY WALKER....the God Vaders son.

Stop woth the cap that luka helped jalen be who he is go back to his college career he was always underrated and winning. All he did was keep doing the same in pros dallas knicks same damn thing win with whomever he plays with

Brunsons coming out party was those playoffs luka got hurt and jalen went berserk to get them out of that series...I knew then he was a really good player but I didn't expect to see the knicks version of him.

I remember JB the two playoff series before his WCF breakout year. Both clippers series, JB couldn’t stay on the floor, he was terrible. One year later, his 4th year and he was a different player. Went from out of rotation almost to averaging 22 in the playoffs.

Maybe, one day Jalen and Luka can team up again. I have to say, that Luka might be suffering a bit from his greatness as an iso player. I heard that many players don't want to be on Luka's team because all he makes them into, is spot up shooter. This is kind of similar to Harden and his criticism. But JB fit in well with Luka. His IQ is off the charts and he was able to carve out his own space to score without messing up Luka's game.

Generational talent alone does not guarantee success at this level. Luka needs to keep working on his game, his maturity, and mental toughness...far too often I still see him whining about a missed foul to the refs instead of getting back on defense, and giving up an easy bucket. The greatest players all have learned to control their emotions
