I liked it but, Luke wasn’t Luke. That whole breastmilk thing was the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen in a Star Wars movie. And I think everyone was disappointed because Luke didn’t fight. There was no big fight with him other than the scene with him and Kylo, but in that scene, he’s not even there. Most of the humorous parts in the film didn’t work like Luke throwing his lightsaber and those corny, not funny jokes. But I think it is getting a little too much hate. “The worst movie of 2017” and “worse than the prequels” I wish that they would give at least a sentence of backstory for Snoke. You did a really great job here. I love the visuals of having Luke affect an air battle while battling on the ground and throwing his lightsaber around. If there was a random new character, there could be some great moments gunning for Chewie. No problem with him dying. I would love to see Phasma becoming completely unhinged while losing to Finn. I'm talking screaming vitriol while blowing snot bubbles. It would be cool to connect Snoke to Darth Plagueis too. If you had done justice to the old characters, you would deserve to get Billy Dee Williams to join the final battle to avenge his friends in 9.

This story is hella better than what Rian Johnson gave us. I think keeping the knights of ren alive for the final epic battle in episode 9 would have been better to build off of for the next story plot. That being said everything else you imagined is gold! I love how your story stays true to the characters and adds amazing concepts and suspense. Oh and the humor is placed neatly! I also think that they should have included more significance for Vader to Kylo Ren; that being artifacts/relics, scenery/set designs (example mustafar), and heavy perspectives of visions from the dark side of the force. This story that you’ve taken the time to bring together is a masterpiece and I love it! Now this just has me to think... if you took around two-three hours to write this, then I must notice how dedicated you really are. Nice work!

I actually have a theory that the Luke we see in the last jedi isn't Luke, but actually a clone of Luke which is why he acts so differently from the Luke we know in the Original Trilogy.

I love everything you said, but what about this major twist in the mix that nobody would see coming: She goes to meet Snoke and Kylo much like in TLJ, but she turns to the dark side. Snoke is overwhelmed with how easily she turned away from light and let’s his guard slightly down which allows Rei to kill him and asks Kylo to join her. Kylo is shocked and afraid of the power that she has just discovered and doesn’t understand how a “rookie” could easily assassinate the supreme leader. Kylo flees to Leia and Luke and turns to the light side/makes major amends. Fast forward, Luke confronts Rei and attempts to correct his final mistake. Rei kills Luke after a major fight scene, making Ben Solo the last Jedi, and set up for final film and also reveal Rei is a Skywalker. Solo vs Skywalker in last movie. Cousins balance the force This all works because Rei has been 100% light side. A switch the the dark side would be unexpected, but tie directly in to her not trying to fight it during training. She was born more connected to the force than anybody in the galaxy. Snoke knows this and wants her.

I still like Rose, but she should have been strictly a side character. I prefer your version, and as far as I'm concerned it's more canon than TLJ. That being said, if Luke had died Obi Wan style in front of Rey, I would have accepted that. I think Ben Solo so far has been a wasted character. We never see exactly how Ben is to lead to Luke wanting to kill him, which would have been plausible considering Luke had to fight hard against the dark side in RTJ. The movie has been out long enough that it's going for 5 bucks at my local FYE, and in still debating if I want to waste the 5 dollars on something that I'll skip around to the parts I don't hate.

My major is in film. I would of made luke skywalker fading away a way of him sacrificing himself to bring back Anakin from the dead. Luke is a force ghost he catches up and communicates with Anakin on finishing rey's training. Then the audience finds out Rey is actually Padme reincarnated. Also I would have a scene where they uses the force to stop a planet from exploding kinda an opposite symbolism of Alderaan. Any thoughts?

Great story, thanks for sharing. Overall I really liked it, especially where you have Luke cleaning house. I'm not sure I agree with both Chewie and Leia dying though. Yes there is war in Star Wars, but the saga films have always felt more like epic mythology in space than actual war films. Rogue One, on the other hand, was an actual Star Wars war film... where just about everybody dies! Either way though, your take works so much better than the garbage we got from Rian Johnson.

My only real complaint with your version is that you made Rey Luke’s daughter. I think that would have been too coincidental. While I really didn’t like TLJ, something I appreciated about it was the fact that it just disregarded fan theories and had this “forget the past” vibe. Furthermore, Rey being a nobody with no significant parents also introduces a different element into the universe that you don’t necessarily need to be the offspring of a badass Jedi to be force sensitive. My two cents. Otherwise, great story.

It doesn't introduce this element in the universe at all, Anakin was born from a slave woman out of the force. He was a nobody. I like the idea that Rey would have been Luke's daughter, it gives purpose to the character and makes for stronger relationship building. And, while I do agree with your comment about the movie having a "forget the past" vibe, I believe it used it directly with The Force Awakens in disregarding everything that the first movie introduced.

Force projection is actually canon. It's in the book The Jedi Way. It is a stretch to say it can be interstellar but that can hand waved with Skywalker blood. Yet another mistake I think this movie makes. So much of Rey's talent could be explained if she was a Skywalker but they threw it away. This was just a huge fuck you to everything Abrams set up.

Then here in TLJ they completely betray Luke’s character and waste his presence completely. What was the point if they could not do just those two simple things. :(

Well I suppose that most fans who hated the last Jedi would enjoyed your version more,and it wasn't a perfect movie, but I'm glad we got what we got and not just fan service like your story. The best parts of your story are already in the last Jedi, you only tweeked it slightly ie. Scene with Yoda. People want to think Luke would never lose hope, and is never a conflicted character, but he comes close to killing Vader in ROTJ and kills him without hesitation in Empire, he's constantly fighting the dark side, and in an early draft of Jedi he even turns if I'm not mistaken, so anyway I appreciate the passion, but the last Jedi while far from perfect carries way more emotional weight, and what people have to come to terms with is that Luke's story was the original trilogy, now he's transitioned to the old mentor role to the new, it's how it should be.

Cool story. I don't think Luke would have to kill any storm troopers. He could just use mind tricks to walk past them. I would use more expanded universe stuff from the novels. Kind of like how comic book movies use the greatest hits from the comics as source material. So having Ben, and Rey be brother and sister was what I was hoping would happen. That he was the one who left her on the planet so Snoke would think he killed her along with the other padawan.

The story is far more coherent to what was set up in the force awakens and also pays respect to the characters from the original trilogy. And the ending with luke and Rey staring at the twin suns is already far more memorable than the stupid pointless kid holding the broom stick at the end. Jesus Christ. This version sounds like a masterpiece compared to the shit storm we got. It's too late to remake the film, but turn this into a comic book with illustrations and I'd buy it.

I really liked it, although I gotta say I actually liked the Kylo killing snoke part in The last Jedi. It was unsual but still fitting into star wars. The execution was just too predictable. My version would be: Luke and Snoke face off, it is very clear that Kylo wants to get to Luke and Snoke (as if he were to help Snoke) but he can't reach him (due to Rey fighting him or something), Snoke gets the upper hand over Luke, Kylo gets the upper hand over Rey. And then suddenly a lightsaber of the Knights of Ren gets thrown by the force into Snoke, killing him. We as the audience understand, that Kylo decided to kill Snoke instead of Rey but he is not a Jedi or "good". He wants to break with the idea of the empire but he still wants to kill Luke himself. Would be unexpected, would keep Johnsons twist but would make more emotional impact and more sense than Kylo's "I want to break with everything so now i am the new supreme leader" Other than that, I am very impressed! Unfortunate, that you didn't have the opportunity to direct it ^^

Keep in mind Luke has put himself FAR away from the force.There was nothing on his island that related to the force. Just putting that out here.I do agree about him throwing the lightsaber. And he went to check on Ben, he didnt mean to kill him. He turned on his lightsaber, acting in the moment, and when Ben woke up, he thought he was abouta die. If Luke left his island what would he use to fight? His green saber is gone, is blue one is broken, and how would he get of becuase Rey left before he grew a pair. Not trying to be a dick, just pointing out a few things. but i did really want to see Kylo and The knights come to ach to to confront them and its a big battle

A TRUE "fix" to this mess MUST redo this whole trilogy. Start with Luke landing at the Capital of the republic to meet Senator Leia who has been fighting in the senate for a larger defense bill (because she and luke sense that, after 40 years of peace, the dark side is growing strong and war is on the horizon). Also Luke senses that Senator Leia's younger daughter is in some kind of trouble. Leia has the same feeling (although Leia chose never to become a Jedi but instead stayed in politics). Han Solo is a loyal husband to Leia even though he needs a cane to walk these days and is no longer the strong man he once was. Luke leaves to try and find their daughter for them but not before he asks Leia if she has ever heard from her OLDER daughter (who once trained as a Jedi under Luke but left the Jedi temple after she felt Luke was holding her back). That night, with Luke headed for the planet where the daughter was last seen, Han hears a knock on the door and it is his OLDER daughter...back after 5 years since she left the Jedi temple. Leia and Han talk to her...at first she seems pleasant enough but slowely it becomes very apparent that something has drastically changed with her. Then, when Han least expects it, the daughter literally stabs him in the back. "Why?" he cries out. "My lord (Darth whatever) has commanded that my mother must be stopped. Just then Leia enters the room and sees what has happened. SHe is devastated but does not make any attempt at physical violence. They yell at each other and then the daughter kills Leia as well (this would be a great way to give Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher a proper send off and if handled by a skilled director it could be really dramatic). Cut to Luke's ship where he senses that Leia and Han are dead. He is stunned and in pain but he manages to break the news to Chewie (who is on his ship along with 6 jedi knights Luke has trained). The trilogy could then go on to have Luke rescue the younger daughter and train her in the ways of the force. Luke and his fellow jedi could get into some battles with mysterious soldiers (NOT dressed like storm troopers but with some other uniform) as Luke tries to discover the unraveling mystery of who killed his sister and Han...what this new dark threat is and how he could battle it. At this point the plot is basically older-bad sister against younger good sister. You could add other characters...a (fill in diversity quota here) guy who was working with the younger sister when she was kidnapped by the bad guys and who gets rescued by Luke. Luke would meet a glorious death in the 2nd or 3rd trilogy movie. Throw in a couple of porgs for Disney's marketing department and you have a trilogy people could be proud to see.
