Bisexual men have it particularly difficult imo. So many have to conceal their same sex attractions out of fear of not being "masculine" enough or peer ostracisation. I know a few guys who also went to private boys schools (Australia) and they're perhaps the most toxic environment for young men. Those who aren't straight are often victimised, and derogatory stereotypes about women and female sexuality thrive. Not even to mention the lack of representation in media. Cheer up, buttercup. Good on you for doing this, even though it was difficult. I hope it was cathartic, at the very least.

@@MegaDhop This is it though. I don't think everyone needs the theatrics of "coming out" but the fact you're closeted and I'm assuming haven't even told your few close friends is...I don't know. I feel like you should just be you without needing to worry about people making a big deal out of it. It's shit when straight guy friends act distant when they find out one of their own friends might not be straight, but some are super chill and it's getting easier and easier to be accepted. xx

Who else is watching this after the new Dan Howell's video? Btw: I think it's so important that people keep doing this videos, a few years ago i was so depressed dealing with bulling and self hatred because of internalize homophobia, this kind of videos helped me a lot to realize i wasn't an outcast because of my sexuality, there was nothing wrong with me, and i wasn't alone in this. So yeah, thank you. Much love and support ❤️❤️

I'm 16 and it was quite the tough job to finally admit myself and come out as a Bi myself. For the last 3-4 years I kinda felt like something was up. I was doubtful since I have never been with a girl and done anything with a girl, so how did I know? But now, I know. I just know. And I think that's all that matters! I'm happy finally being able to accept this side of myself and just move on! Thank you Luke! You are an inspiration! You are such an underrated KZbinr! You are so great!! EDIT: I wanted to add a point I think i could use some help with. Parents. My mom does not believe me. She thinks this is a phase and since I haven't been with a girl before, she thinks that it'll go away. The thing is, I don't think it will. I am heavily attracted to girls, and I would love to be with one (but with certain conditions, but that's because I'm a hopeless romantic). I just can't seem to come up with good points to make her understand. Lol I'm screwed

I'm so proud of you for having the courage to come out. Bisexual men have it especially hard. Bi girls are seen as hot while bi guys are seen as unmasculine, which is ridiculous bc your masculinity has nothing to do with your sexuality. I myself am bisexual (I'm a female) and I have come out to a ton of my friends, all of which have been accepting. But my parents have this weird theory that bi ppl don't exist (bisexuals are "confused" or just want attention), so I don't know how to come out to them. I'm sure they'd accept me, but I don't want to be called crazy, you know? Do you have any tips on how to come out? Should I just wait until I get a gf to show I'm not confused (I've had boyfriends in the past)? I love your videos, btw 💙

This video can also help others, like I once was, who needs to accept and love themselves and tell people about mental health issues, etc. Was very hard for me to tell people I have Bipolar Disorder. A lot of people think BP folks are like serial killers and bs like that. So, I think this video will encourage people to share a wide variety of issues. Maybe even ask for help if they're addicted to drugs or alcohol as an example. So proud of you, Luke. 🌻

I think I just realized that I am bisexual/pansexuel. My narcissistic father always told me that I couldn't be bi sexual because I mostly had relationships with guys. I felt ashamed because of it, because I wanted my dad to accept me so badly. So I just told myself I'm straight and because I have been in a relationship for 8 years now I never thought about it anymore. But it doesn't matter in what relationship I am in, I am still attracted to the person and not to the gender. I've always felt like the odd one out like this and thought there must be something wrong with me. Thank you for helping me realize this!

I think because my “friends” called me a lesbian in high school (in like a mean way) really messed with my sexual development. I think it made me reject my attraction towards women until recently. The whole thing about it being “untrue” and “bad” made it harder for me too because I knew that I liked men and set my feelings aside so that I wouldn’t be a walking target.

Lukie, my dude. Can I just say that this is the most relatable video I have ever watched? I have struggled so much with my sexuality in life, just like you. I couldn't decide If I was gay or straight for the longest point, and honestly I still cant. I roughly estimate I am bisexual, but the way I feel changes daily. I remember hating myself so so so much for not knowing or understanding that I liked both sexes. Growing up was hard but I've learned to accept myself for who I am. Of course naturally I have some bad days but those days are few and far between. It's just crazy how much your story resonates with mine. I also feel the same way about dating apps and how hook up culture is nice but ultimately very empty. I could go on for forever, but basically. A few things, you're so smart, brave, kind, talented, cute, and maybe most important AWARE, like socially. If you weren't doing KZbin or going to school for acting I'd say you'd be such a good psychologist. Anyways, Luke you're the best, you give me strength to post my own content here on youtube and the strength to be who I am❤ so much love for you boi

I randomly found your channel today, and havd been binge-watching your videos. I enjoy them so much, thank you. I was pleasantly surprised to see this video. I absolutely love when LGBTQ+ people, especially young ones, live their truth. As an older bi/pan trans guy who still struggles with his identity and being accepted, I'm so proud of you for being a good role model. 🖤💜

Thank You Luke. Thank you for sharing yourself. My story is so much like yours. Thank You for putting yourself out there like this. I came out to my family a few months back, and it was the most difficult but freeing thing I have ever done. I am 43 and was married for over 7 years, brought up Southern Baptist I was convinced God hated me. I couldn't lie anymore. Thank You it's difficult to find real relatable stories like yours. My newly found boyfriend is not in a position to come out and I see it killing him. Family can be so destructive.Again thank you!

I've never been to a party, never been drunk or have friends let alone a hook up. I feel like I'm missing out on all of these things and I'm turning 20 this year. It's really lonely. I know this video is about sexuality but I came to the point in the video where you talk about high school and college life and I feel like such a weirdo that I can't relate.. I am ashamed that my life is so empty and boring and I feel so unwanted when it comes to making friends and relationships.

Everyone has their own pace! I felt pressurised too and that led me to accepting abuse in order to fit in. The trauma led to emotional eating and my weight gain led to purging. Balancing your grades while having bulimia is a nightmare. I still lowkey blame myself for accepting the abuse.

I rarely comment but this video is *SO IMPORTANT!!* It certainly was a hard video for you to make but im so glad you made it. It matters A LOT to confused bisexual people to have sort of a role model, especially since you're an outspoken and articulate reliable youtuber. Like you said, just talking about it is so freeing but also hearing someone talk about it and you relating to them is just as important. I hope this video comes in the way of anyone who needs it ❤ ❤much love from me to all of you, accept yourself and be proud!

When I was younger, around 12, sometimes when girls would touch me, be close to me I would feel something, be attracted... but the only thing I was thinking was "oh no, I can't be a lesbian, my life would be too complicated" I didn't know I was bisexual, never heard of it at this time, so even if I loved boys, when I was attracted to some girl I would just think about gayness... Now we are much more informed and that's awesome ♥
