Hey Luke im a barista and the reason for the coffee machine being so bad is possibly the water filter hence the weird taste, also to get a less watery shot try and put in more coffee grounds and change the setting for grinding to be more fine and make sure you press it hard for more pressure, pressure = thicker coffee

Y’all need to use espresso beans brodie, then weigh them. 9grams = single shot, 18 grams = double shot. Mess around with grind size until the shot pulls in the blue area and takes 25-30 seconds for the shot pull
