the point aren't the questions, which might be just the same ones as the B1 preliminary, but the answers. I’m like you, I have a good mastery of English, however I’m socially anxious. I do think that being able to actually speak to people in the language is part of your fluency. Work on your social anxiety by pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and speaking to more people in your native tongue and then use that to get comfortable doing the same in the language you’re studying.

I concur. He's fairly fluent but he uses very simple vocabulary and he doesn't make complex sentences (if at all). Gotta give him credit for the try and the fact that he still gets the message across but I'd say his English speaking skills falls somewhere closer to the B2 range than the C1. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that he was slightly nervous and therefore a handicap when speaking but at an advanced level even when you're nervous you can still manage to communicate a bit more effectively than he did unless you're being asked complex questions that you may find it difficult to word even in your mother tongue. But he was asked very straightforward questions.
@TheAnarchist993 жыл бұрын
@@katzz129 Some people (myself included) find this type of scenarios nerve-racking and might even go blank on that account, some of us just can't cope with overbearing stress whereas some people adjust accordingly with not so great difficulty. But as you can see , he was very relaxed and comfortable, it's just that he speaks like that (not too shabby) but as a C1 user , he's just not there yet. No offense but his speaking needs some honing to claim he has attained an advanced level of English.
