@christa41722 жыл бұрын
@@Furkanturmus6 it was…. AMAZING. I’m telling you, it was one of the best trips ever. First of all, the people, hotel employs, receptionist and waiters, all of them were so nice and friendly, I felt like I was friends with them. Here in Italy people separate work from home so much, they put a serious and professional personality in from of the customers. But in turkey they were all soo friendly. I loved seeing them smile at my dad. And also patient for the language barrier (my Eng is embarrassing). I ate a lot of baklava and bought another portion to get it home. All the dishes were awesome. Y’all sure eat a lot. The food quantity was too much for me, I couldn’t eat it even if I wanted to. The waiters were kind enough to take it away before I overate 😂 Ofc there are plenty more dishes I loved Apart from that, the city, Instanbul, is truly amazing. Hajia sophia, blue mosque and simply the streets gave such a vibe. Definitely gonna return with my mom.

Just wondering what the freight costs are going to be with a 2 day DHL service though. Maybe best to save up some money and spend the $400.00 and the freight costs are free. Thanks for that option to get some things from Europe that I know I will not be able to find elsewhere in the USA where I live. From my past travels to Turkey I will say it was an amazing adventure, while I lived in Europe.

Turkish cuisine is mostly known with baklava, Maraş battered ice-cream and sütlaç when it comes to desserts. Turkish cuisine is rich when it comes to desserts in fact. Ayva tatlısı (quince dessert), kazandibi, tavuk göğsü, un kurabiyesi, kavala almond cookies, damla sakızlı kurabiye (mastic gum cookies), sakızlı muhallebi, su muhallebisi, acıbadem kurabiyesi, pürüzyen, irmik helvası (semolina halva), un helvası (flour halva), tulumba tatlısı, yoğurt tatlısı, incir tatlısı, gül tatlısı, laz böreği, irmik tatlısı, lor tatlısı, katmer, güllaç, kaymaklı ekmek kadayıfı, elmalı kurabiye, şekerpare, kalburabastı, kadın göbeği, höşmerim, peynir helvası (cheese halva), ıslak kek, ay çöreği, pastiç, torpil pastası, marşal pastası (pasta means "cake with icing on top" in Turkish, weird but true) and many local delicacies in each city. Ağlayan pasta (the crying cake) is most like a modern style of cake but mostly done in cities. I wanna suggest those desserts in case you haven't tried any yet.
