When one of the best communicators I've ever met tells us that he blushes when he speaks, it makes me feel like we're all the same and a little more confident in myself and my way of conveying information in the language I'm learning. Thank you for getting down to our level. This is really motivating!! 🌈🌈

Despite being a quite self-confident person, I've been struggling with blushing all my life, so I can really understand your feelings. The worst thing however, is when someone suddenly tells you 'Oh look, you're blushing!' ...and the more they tell you the redder you become 😞

Imagine walking into a classroom where every lesson feels like a performance, and every word spoken is accompanied by expressive gestures and animated facial expressions. That's the experience with Luke. Not only is he a masterful teacher of English, but he also has a flair for theatricality that brings the subject to life in ways you never thought possible. Each lesson is a captivating show, with him effortlessly weaving storytelling, humor, and passion into every explanation. Whether it's dissecting the nuances of the engrossing stories or unraveling the complexities of grammar rules, Luke has a knack for making even the most daunting topics seem approachable and engaging. But what truly sets you apart is your ability to communicate through gestures and facial expressions as if tou were an artist on stage. Every raise of the eyebrow, every sweep of the hand, serves to emphasize a point or illuminate a concept, leaving students mesmerized and eager to learn more.In your videos, gratitude and admiration flow freely from students who are not just learning English but experiencing it in its fullest, richest form. So here's to you, Luke , for being more than just an educator-you're a true maestro of language and inspiration. May you continue to dazzle and delight your students for years to come!

Definitely Mr Abrahams knows perfectly well what he's talking about. Being myself a Spanish person I never, when I speak English, try to sound as I was a BBC speaker.. Which put my anxiety off while I'm speaking.. And Secondly never thinking about the grammar mistakes that my conversation would derive... Meaning, thinking fast, speaking faster and getting my message across... Thanks so much for this helpful Video and congratulations to both of you 👍

Hi Luke! Thank you so much for the podcast, it is very useful for learning and improving English and I have to say that I really love your British accent!! I m Italian, so I always try to improve the pronunciation. Regarding the blush, I perfectly understand you, when I m embarrassed or nervous or anxious, I blush all over my neck, it becomes full of red spot and I can feel when it happens too! Anyway, I just try to ignore it and think it will pass when I take the control back. Thanks a lot for all the tips!

Hello Luke, nice episode of your podcast I liked it. Yes, I believe that blushing is most of the time inevitable for all of us both in great pubblic speaking and in private as well, right? 😊 This episode is packed of useful and usable pieces of advice indeed and I listened to it for the entire lenght. I'm saying that because I'm trying to give to my speaking practice and time spent with speaking English a boost and, I'm trying to start to break the egg-shell I'm in!😅 And because your work here with these podcast is so well done and it arrives straight at each of us as learners. I will try to use them all in my practice. Thank you!🙏

I had a problem getting enough breath due to anxiety while reading a ballad at school which was also being recorded in order to be discussed later. Well, I messed it up and suffered terribly. Thankfully, the teacher pretended the tape was broken. But the incidence had its consequences and affected my readiness to actively take part in classroom discussions or perform in public. It has always taken me much energy to raise my voice. So, I listened with great interest to your conversation. I thought I was mistaken when I noticed your blush. I really loved it when you had the courage to talk about it later. Chapeau!

Your podcasts are so much fun and even more so, interesting. I learn from you not only about the English language, which I have a great interest in, but about so many other subjects. And in addition, the range of topics is definitely diverse. For me, your podcasts are like a book, even if it's thick, you don't want it to end. Because it is so interesting and therefore we want it to continue. That was the case today when I heard your conversation with Matt Abraham, which was very instructive and insightful. Many of the things that were said are also relevant to me personally, but I was glad that the podcast did not end at the end of the conversation with him, but you continued the conversation with us listeners, summarized and explained and gave your own insights. I would like to point out that, as always, in this podcast as well, you expanded on your personal position on the subject and today it was the fact that you are always blushing. It's exactly the same with me and your explanations made me understand something about myself, that it's okay to blush, I don't need to think too much about it and understand that it also happens to people with a lot of experience who don't even know why they blush. I realized that the reason for blushing is not necessarily because I am ashamed or uncomfortable. This insight will allow me to be more relaxed in my further future engagements with people. Thank you very much for that too. I wish that you will continue to interest me and others as well, as you have done so far with great success.

Interesting episode! I have an idea for an episode. How about an episode about errors that are typical for certain languages? You could ask your listeners beforehand. My mother tongue is German and there are mistakes that are quite typical. There are lots of examples. For example, "salad" instead of "lettuce", because lettuce means "Salat" in German. But in German, a mixed salad is also "Salat". Also, some people say "become" instead of "get", because in German "to get something" means "bekommen. Sorry if there's already been something like that. I've heard a lot of your episodes, but not all of them..... Greetings from Austria!

Hi Luke, thanks for this very instructive episode, you made my day! Mastering the art of communication is key whatever the context. In my opinion, loving people is a good start and a given if you want to feel comfortable especially when it comes to teaching - obviously! But getting to know all these handy techniques and using them properly is a plus to upskill, isn't it? I know I will repeat myself but let me tell you again how grateful I am for all the good job you do, so valuable indeed! 😃 And you know what? I always recommend your podcast to my students and so what? Because the content you offer is so multifaceted and riveting and now what? This highly helps them to trigger their motivation to learn English 😉.
