Love the blanket and the shawl. I loved Outlander, got completely hooked and cant wait for the next series. I don't remember the other series being quite as difficult to watch as that bit in season 1, that's stayed with me too.

Congratulations on the Mollie Makes pattern. Love your blanket and would love to make one too but not a great crocheter here more of a knitter. Your painted hearts turned out really lovely, well done Lou Lou. I really enjoyed Penguin Bloom on Netflix- is a family film, and has good discussion point for families but is so so funny too.

Hello Emma! Thank you so much for the shout out, I greatly enjoyed making my tea pot cosy. It was all stash too :D. But I also want to make a full sparkly solid colored one as well. I agree with you on blankets, I don't have the fortitude to finish them as witnessed by the spicier life blanket started 4 years ago and still not completed. I never watched past season 1 of Outlander, I found the ending particularly traumatic. And afterwards when I googled the books and learned about the later seasons/books I determined I wouldn't put myself through all the heartbreak. I've always had a hard time getting traumatic scenes out of my head. Lovely to spend some crafty time with you!

Thank you Clarisa! It’s so satisfying when you get to finish a project from stash isn’t it! Your teapot cosy looks fabulous. Yes lots of people have had similar thoughts about Outlander, I think I’ll have a go at season two as my daughter bought me the dvds for Christmas after me saying how much I wanted to watch it 😬🤣 Sending love, Em 💕

Such a delightful episode. Loving your bobbly shawl, such fun and totally smitten with the rather gorgeous blanket, so pretty. I can recommend the film Penguin Bloom on Netflix, a really touching film: I blubbed lots as it’s a tearjerker but Penguin is utterly endearing and it’s a true story too. Stay safe and keep sharing your joy 🧶🧵🌼

Just hearing your comments about the book with the moms made me feel so anxious jeez! You are a storyteller!!! And Outlander is really violent, we're watching it but I stopped because I don't want to get to the part of Jamie's imprisonment and all of that. I read three and a half of the books and my enthusiasm was from oh wow! to oh! to hmmmm to nope. Imo the first book is the best. Thanks for this episode, and take care of your hands!

Ohhh that is interesting thank you for your feedback... several people have said the same and I was wondering if I would have been better off reading the books but I think the violence would have still affected me! Em xx

Your shawl and blanket are both beautiful Emma. For me, with Outlander, season 2 was the hardest one to watch. Some scenes were a little difficult and I did have the fast wind button on to skip over, but that was about it really. I recently discovered 'This Is Us' on Prime and the husband and I have been binge watching that. It's soooooooo good. I am actually so gutted that I'm now up to date with the series! I think you might like it. It's so cleverly done. It's really all about judging people, and once you know their back story, would you still judge them? It's so interesting that my husband and I keep pausing episodes just to have a deep conversation about the issues in the story because it's so fascinating. We also laugh that if we had watched this when our children were little, our parenting may have been a little different! ha ha! I also have binge watched Virgin River. That was good if you like a bit of escapist romance with beautiful scenery. A couple of the main characters in that were in This Is Us and it really threw me a bit!!!!!!! xx
@Lululovescrochet

Oooh thank you, I definitely used the fast forward in the last couple of episodes in season 1... 🤣 I loved Virgin River ... it was one of those comfort shows that just looks beautiful too! I’ve not heard anything about This is Us though so will definitely add that to the list... all the better if I can watch with rob otherwise I just end up watching some kind of true crime all evening and having to read until my mind settles 🤣😬 Sending love 💕

I have recently fell down the outlander rabbit hole + am so obsessed have even bought the knitting book + made some capes + cowls from it! BUT it is very violent + perhaps a bit too sexual in parts for me but I think I cope with it as the storyline is so fantastic. I bingewatched all 5 seasons in 2 weeks + am now on book 6 as series 6 is currently being filmed in Scotland. What it really highlights to me is how bad women were treated + thought of + makes me feel very grateful for how far we have moved on from it!

Yes I completely agree - I’ve seen so many lovely knits inspired by the show. I was so excited to watch it but yes a little too much violence for me. I’ve definitely been drawn into the story though so will keep watching. Em xx

Hi Emma, I'm in love with your shirt. And it happen the same to me when I decided to watch Outlander and yes, it's really violent and it gets even more traumatic. I stopped watching it on the third ( maybe forth) because it's very disturbing and I loved the story and the idea of it but it was too much for me.

I had to stop watching Outlander for the same reasons...by season 3 the story gets a little far fetched and ridiculous ( just my opinion). You would really like watching “Behind Her Eyes” which is new on Netflix. But brace yourself for the ending!!! 😱 Oh my!!
