I've been using Tatcha for a long time, with great results. Tried the SK just for comparison but went back to Tacha when I heard you are cruelty free, which is the biggest plus for me.

I think tatcha essence is reformulated some time in the last couple years because it’s just not as good as it was in 2019, 2020

Yes I agree. I have a mini sample of the sk-II and I am reluctant to use it because of the parabens. It's like I do not want it to go to waste but then again do i really want parabens on my skin?

@@victoriahale5254 agreed, parabens used for skincare for a very long time. it just make the product last longer, there is nothing to do with breast and people keep talking about it. how can breast and skincare is the same. parabens is safe in skin care, it will not cause the breast cancer when you put it on your face. same like chili, it is fine to consume, but you can't put it on your skin. it is different, you can't make it like it is the same, so just because you can't put chili on your skin that doesn't mean you can't consume it. just because parabens bad for breast it doesn't mean it will automatically bad in skincare. it is totally different situation. god send us a brain, use it please.

Ok I love Tatcha essence.., I found my face tingling kinda burning?? But it stopped in a few days...I was an Shiseido user....then I found Tatcha ok her company isn't Japanese? It's not sold in Asia.. her point is somewhat high, I love the fact, that in her silk cream, she added pearls into it, her line is animal cruelty free, which I love ❤️, I just bought SK-11 R.N.A power, radical new age essence...... perhaps this will be my last time buying SK11 ... because of animal cruelty...

I use prescription strength retinal. Can I still use the essence before I apply the essence. Thanks for telling me about the cruelty free. I will stick with Tatcha.

You can absolutely use the Essence before applying retinol. The Essence is very gentle on the skin and hydrating as well, and should be fine to use with retinol. As long as it works for you, go for it!

meow M not sure if you’ll see this cause it’s been over year haha but I’d like to recommend an essence since you mentioned price. I too have been using Tatcha’s essence and I love it but then I discovered another essence by a Korean brand called Neogen, and they have an essence called the Real Ferment Micro Essence and its much cheaper but still good!

Tatcha is a cleaner brand as well! Clean ingredients for the win. AND they're cruelty free, yes :-) But SK-II does work very well also.
