Something I love about this episode is how it shows that Camila isn't just there to be part of the setup. She's an important part of the story, and this episode shows that she's actually getting involved... Can't go into detail about how yet, obviously. But I like that she's actually part of things, something that might not be expected at first. I also love King and Gus's little friendship, even if it's never really a big focus. It's nice for King to have a friend, and he and Gus have a lot in common once you get into it...

RE: Amity and Luz's magic: we see as early as episode 3 that emotions play a big part in how powerful a witch's magic is! Amity's abomination is huge, and she casts it almost effortlessly, not to mention the size of the tree that one little plant glyph grew! (also, keep that tree in mind, it might have a part to play in the future🤫) Also, RE: the cancellation, we can debate forever about whys and what-ifs, but what we got is still incredible! I always find Amity fear is a bit more complicated then being rejected by Luz. And to do that, you have to look at what rejection is for Amity. When we first meet her, she the top of the class, and has been accepted as such. But it get uprooted, and she freaks out. Then there Covention, where she terrified that her future had been ruined and she wont get accepted into the emperor coven. And then there last episode with her parents. Which Im sure they made her feel like she had to jump through hoops to be loved, which is one of the strongest form of acceptance. Worse, all these example are all or nothing. She either is accepted as the top student, or isnt. She in the emperor coven, or isnt, and her parents accept her or dont. And guess what grom does. Walks away, which irl would mean the end of a friendship.

You're totally right, I agree with you! Rejection is a big part of her character's struggles and I think that, in this case being rejected by Luz, just says how much Amity has grown to care for Luz as she represents light and hope for her!

My gosh, this episode is just so good for so many reasons. It’s funny, it’s got significant development, it’s got GAY!!! And that cliffhanger…. Also, I loved the section of you talking about the dance scene in Spanish. I just finished my first semester of Spanish in college and listening is easily the thing I’m worst at, so now I can just rewatch that part of the video and call it studying 😂 Seriously though, I’m not great at understanding, but I still love to listen to it cause it’s a beautiful language. It was great to see you shiping them as hard as all of us did and still do. 4:12 same. 13:25 right? Never in my life did i thought that a suit and a tutu could look good together, but somehow they made it look great 8:28 the one fighting it on the image shown while Amity explain seems to be a guy, at least to me, but if not, i have no idea. 14:43 for me is always a nightmare. 16:21 i mean, for what we were told, luz isn't really in mortal danger right now, just in danger of being even more traumatize. 19:31 i was convulsing on the floor due to a serotonin(the feel good chemical) overdoze, i didn't even knew what to do whit my body, it was just scuabling around un controlable out of exitment. 20:50 yep, that bombshell of an ending always gets everybody. 22:09 por algún motivo mi cerebro siempre se olvida por unos segundos de que habla español cuando alguien pasa a hablarlo XD 31:40 yhea, i think the same, i was honestly surprise this episode even existe on a disney show to begin whit, i knew the fans shiped them when i started waching, but i never though their relationship would actually be like that on the show, mostly because it was a disney show. 33:33 it could be, though i feel like it really would depend on the person, i'm an adulto and my worst fear is failing at stop being such a useless piece of trash, and that isn't really that terryifing. 33:45 not really, probably due to Belos plan, he really dosn't care abaut manipulating the younger generations. Also, fair warning: If Belos tells you that snow is white, he lies! (not spoiler just reference to one of my favorite games, though you really should not believe most of what he says) 37:30 that's some good timing you had there. This ship existence makes me so happy, It's ridiculus how exited i feel seeing them together. Don't know why, but i really liked that they were not actually able to win over their fears just yet.

They've built this dynamic so intelligently that I'd never thought this was gonna be the direction from their first interaction together! They made such a great job at making us forget about her mom! Props to the animators on that Luz look! Right! However, they never mention the term "Grom King" (I know that there is no prom king IRL as far as I'm concerned), so I keep wondering! Yep! Still lol! It's his students and it's danger nonetheless that can have emotional consequences! Hahahah aww the whole sequence it's just marvelous serotonin, absolutely! Very effective moment of dread and mystery! Jajajaja es normal, tambien me pasa! Still sad this show was cancelled and, even though I've heard that this was not the reason why it was cancelled, I bet there was some arguments about it in Disney nonetheless! Hahaha who knows, fears are all kinds and shapes! Hahaha gotcha! I'll have an eye on Belos 👀 ABSOLUTELY! Sameee, Lumity is one of the most beautiful things I've seen in animation recently! First gotta say : love your segment in Spanish ! Always wanted to learn but school fixates on the wrong parts of it, so hearing you talk and find a link with Luz and her mother sis amazing. This is what I love with Luz (also lots of other characters), she is relatable for so many people : people of colors, people who speaks more than one language, people who loves magic, "weirdos" that never fit in... Your reactions are also so precious, love them so much and love how you analyse and try to find things ! (watching your she-ra reaction, i'm a little behind but it's the same and love it) This episode is FULL of things and I sure you and the comments already talked so much about it so it won't be news hehe Just wanted to talk about it because this is a show that I love, that I think I would've needed as a child : for the acceptance of not fitting in, the obsession with magic/other subjects, the sexuality and gender (the part where King says "Now I am both King AND Queen, best of both things !!" genuienly made me cry because it might be a little line, but for genderfluid, trans, non binary people it's hearing a message of "It's okay to be both") I think Luz's fear of her mother could also be linked by the fact that she feels horribly guilty to lie to her, to disobey her. At first glance, Luz strikes me as she don't want to "hurt" the people she loves, even if it means hurting herself in the process. So her deciding to stay in the Boiling Isles is a big decision and like you said, the show makes us AND Luz forget about her mom. But I also love how you can see how much they care about each other. For the letters... Great mystery indeed... I've watched this season almost 20 times and it still gives me chills. Mostly because it's coming from nowhere and we have no leads to resolve it ??? With other issues in the show, like Eda's curse, we can kinda put some people how did that to her, Amity's coldness and reservation is explained quite late but in episode 7, you can see a bit of her real self when she laughs. Also love the change between the episode where Gus was babying King and King was jealous, to them both bonding and becoming closer friends : they both learned (well mostly Gus learned he didn't want to be babied or treated like a cute thing) and I find their friendship very nice ! And for the Lumity... Aaaaah that's so gigantic dunno if can even start talking, even just about this episode here without boring anyone xD But yeah, the first thing I wanted to say is that they are portraying a crush/love story so well ! Because they are teenagers and so, it's always a little awkward, scary and so. In lots of shows the couple just goes like this and everything works or not, but it doesn't feel...not legit but um...real ? Here with Amity, I came to understand more about how a crush could feel (I do not think the lesbian side scares her, with Willow's dads, we can already tell the Boiling Isles is a place without LGBT+phobia) and all those little blushes or touches she has with Luz, not always romantic, but linking her more and more. I think Dana said that, in this show, blushes are very important, I might be wrong tho ! anyways, it always makes me want to infodump watching your videos so again, thank you so much !

Oh yesss, Luz truly is groundbreaking as a main character, love to see how she's so active and all as well, every time she's on screen, the energy is infectuous! Hahaha thanks trying to do my best with analysis every time! Glad to hear you're enjoying She-Ra content as well 😄 This would've been PERFECT as well for me to grow up with, I agree! And yeah, even though I couldn't include the line in the video because of copyright restraints, it's AMAZING to see that line of thought and representation in a show that is for all ages! That's true! And also more heartbreaking to think about how in that disobedience, Luz has actually grown to feel like she fits in a world and is able to help people and feel more like herself, so this directly conflicts to the way she's grown in the last few episodes and I love it, it's so complex! Totally, those texts and emphasis on the emotional thought process of respoding to her mom is perfectly captured, in a just a few scenes you feel that connection! THAT LETTER I can't, what's happening indeed. So much mystery! Yesss, even though Gus I didn't vibe with much in ep 14, it's awesome to see him like this with King, their dynamic makes so much sense! LUMITY gives me life, it's just so adorable and cute! Those little touches to her body language give so much personality to Amity as a character and so much fun overall, so relatable! Both Grom AND the She-Ra finale in the same evening? Some of us can relate I'm sure lmao. Loved your reaction to it all, your commentary and editing of course, but also loved the breakdown of the scene in Spanish! I wish I could say I didn't need the subtitles to understand everything, but I did need to peek at them every now and then... Ah, high school is too far away now, brain too old lol. Speaking of, you asked how we felt watching this for the first time, well: the first time I watched the Korra finale, I wished with all my heart that it had been around just a few years prior, because I would have felt so much more comforted when I realized who I am, rather than terrified. And watching this episode (now more than twice as old as the characters in the show), I first felt so much joy that nowadays we get to have something like this, in a Disney show of all things; but most importantly that teenagers who will relate so closely to these characters will be able to maybe understand themselves, or feel comforted, too. It's just lovely in every way! You did look fantastic in that purple shirt! Ok, ame la gran parte de anlisis en español aunque literalmente confundiste totalmente mi cerebro ya que yo soy de Mexico mi lengua natal es el español pero con los años y la cuarentena empeze a entender el ingles y acostumbro a ver reacciones a series en ingles ya que en español casi nadie lo hace y cuando veo las reacciones es como que hay un chip en mi cerebro y cuando veo cosas en ingles se activa y cuando vuelvo a el español se desactiva pero literalmente cuando empezaste a hablar tanto en ingles fue como que mi cerebro quedo totalmente como de, esta hablando español o estoy entendiendo mal. Realmente quede muy confundida jajaja 😅

No creo q esa camisa sea violeta/purpura, en mi pais se le dice bordo a ese tono. Mucha gente se quejo xq esperaban q el miedo mas fuerte de Amity sea enfrentar a sus padres y dicen q no tiene sentido que sea q le rechaze Luz. Yo opino q su miedo mas grande si es enfrentar a sus padres pero parece ser q grom siempre va x los miedos pequeños primero (A Luz le tocó los gatos antes de ver a su mama) asi que intentó asustar a Amity con su miedo mas pequeño y se iba a dejar el miedo mas grande para despues.

Jajajaja de verdad creo que es la luz que me hizo una jugada engañosa lol! Sí es morada, un tono oscuro! Tiene sentido esa teoría! Y también me parece que el monstruo Grom va detectando las emociones en el momento de la persona y lo vincula al miedo que siente en ese momento. Por ejemplo, momentos antes de que el Grom se transformara en la madre de Luz, el Grom había tomado la forma de Eda, el vínculo materno de Luz en the Boiling Isles. Por otra parte, está el caso de Amity que antes de que el Grom le rompiera la carta, Amity directamente protege a Luz. Realmente es un juego psicológico muy interesante!
