Zelda - Rainy Zora's Domain - Ambience [10 Hours]

I always wished Zora’s Domain was much, much bigger than it already is, like to the scale of a modern day city or their original concepts of the location. This was my first location and Divine Beast, and by God what a way to get introduced to the vast lore and scale of the Legend of Zelda series. Everything about this location, from the soft blue-green colors, smooth architecture, rain, waterfalls, and of course the Zoras themselves. The first time I ever encountered one in BotW when the Zora soldier said “It is decided! You shall go to Zora’s Domain even if you don’t really want to!” perfectly summarizes the personality of the fish folk

I remember the Zora Domain from Twilight Princess. The best thing about that game is the fact that it let you fill in so many of the blanks with the characters and locations when it came to lore. Zora Domain was no exception, it was super mysterious from the beginning of the game, and once you finally got there and restored it to what it was, it was totally worth it. Favorite song by far out of any game I've played.

Theres something about loving the ocean and finding comfort in the Zoran race that just sends me in a trance. Breath of the wild was actually sad. Everyone lost a lot but here when Mipha is gone and Link has no memory of her and the denizens he used to play with really made me break down and cry. I honestly grasped that Link has truly lost more than anyone in the game at that point. He lost his memories, the good and the bad but memories altogether. Those actually fill a person and give them substance. Taking that away honestly is so disheartening in my opinion because now they are just so void and aimless. It really made me think of people who have to deal with Dementia and alzheimers… life is just a blessing but also the perfect tragedy. Thats why we have to love one another, thats reason enough, to hold on to those memories for when loved ones, like Mipha, are no longer with us…. Im crying again, I love yall.

my moms bf bought me botw last week and ive been playing it for hours and hours at a time, im obsessed. this is my first zelda game ive played i also have a lot of trouble sleeping at night and zora’s domain is my favorite so this helps a lot :D update: i completed the game a week ago and got the DLC a couple of days ago, still obsessed and i hit 200 hours on it update (3/26/23): i still come back every now and then to listen to this so i can fall asleep 🤭🤭 im patiently waiting for totk to come out in may

Just started playing BOTW and find it so beautiful and enjoyable but at the same time incredibly frustrating. So much of it is beyond my skill level, yet I can't stay away. My son and I each have a playthrough going on my Switch, and we learn by watching/helping each other play and figure things out (shrines in particular. those things can be maddening!). In any case, his playthrough is how I first saw Zora's Domain and fell in love with it's theme song(?). As someone with severe anxiety, I find it incredibly soothing. Repetitive soft music with a gently rolling rhythm, no jarring notes or tempo changes, rain pattering softly in the background, this is my recipe for lowering anxiety levels. Thank you for this!

My favorite thing is how as you head towards the domain, the flora in the area has this change where the trees look more like coral and the blue rocks and grass mimicking fields of seagrass. Look closely at the dirt paths and you'll see a mix of seashells. We didnt get to dive in BOTW or TOTK, but Zora's Domain makes up for that.

Most of the world in this game feels very vast and almost lonely to me. It is still very much populated but you can tell it is not as vibrant and full of life because of the calamity ganon... Zora’s Domain is one of the only places that makes you almost forget about the dangers outside its walls. This sent me right to dreamland, thank you!

Hey Luna, I know that Tears of the Kingdom just released. Its a great game from what I've seen so far. I ordered it a few days prior and it's shipping in a few days. Even though we've moved unto bigger and better things in the video game world, this video is always a reminder of how much of a blessing this game truly is and it's impact on the world. If there's one thing this game nailed, it's how it re-imagined familiar environments like this. From the scenery, to the music and how it changes from day to night, to the inhabitants. Just spot on really. Speaking of music though...thank you so much for this (and of course to the original composers).
