I'm the grandson of a true bootlegger in northeast Tennessee. To understand the setting of this video you have to understand the heritage of our area within this great country. For the people that don't understand this video, we were the craftsmen of moonshine liquor and to get caught making and transporting it was a major offense of the law. We did everything we could to pep up our cars and outrun the "law." To dig even deeper into the heritage, that was how NASCAR was born. I don't expect the majority of people to understand this video but for me personally it takes me straight back to my father driving his 1967 nova around the old mountain dirt roads wide open without letting up the throttle and not giving any cares to the dangers it posed.

My grandpa ran moonshine from Missouri into Arkansas in the mid fifties. Not sure for how long though. He said he was shot at and the guy next to him would return fire.

I personally like the video, it represents the camshaft well,all I can say is that if you don't get the concept of the video,try the camshaft!!! It's bad ass and does what it says. I don't turn my race car hard at all,best camshaft I've used in 35 years of racing.

What are the spects.for this cam?the movie! Is good!!but there is alot to know before one buy a cam to see if its what you need in rpm range.gearing,carberation heads ect.l can go on.because! I am a chevy man.an l can build a 283.that blew the draws off 327 chy.383 and 390 ty fords.lam old school.an buildind racing engines when l was 18 yrs.so sound isn't everything.Mr.Seed!!!

my question is did the original moonshiners cars have that lumpy idle ? were lumpy idle cams even available to the them back then or did they re grind their own ? or were they all standard cams and big carbs and straight exhausts ???

I know nothing about the bootlegger BRAND!! cams . But I Do love the street master BRAND!! cam. I've used this cam in many motors. It sounds great peforms great. And makes great power . With the right head's. Lunati steet master 235 @50 and 507 lift and 106 LSA. The best cam I ever bought. TRY IT YOU WILL LIKE IT. Try a boot legger cam to. I'm going too. Just for shits and giggles....oh and a B&M 2500 stall converter. And B&M shift kit.

Poor quality all the way through this video, what a waste of money. Should I base your products on this garbage? Not even the '55 had a good lope :( You could have dubbed a great sounding cam on top if you needed. There is no excuse nowadays ! Great idea gone to trash.
