I really like the be kind and not nice one. People have always told me I’m mean for staying true to my values and opinions. I don’t go up to people trying to bully them or call them out their names. However, I’ve never been too good with conformity. Also, I used to love the hell out of a self-deprecating joke and would constantly say them. I’ve changed that as I realized it’s given people the ammunition to say whatever they want to me and even co-sign the negative things I used to say about myself which basically made me feel worse. I now say things that may sound conceited but I’d rather that than down talk myself. I can be kind, but I won’t be weak. Those were some really great lessons!

@@sharonjo7630 just look it up. Kindness is a way of life embedded in that person: comes from compassion, genuinely cares about people. Nice focus is on self and comes from a desire to be liked. Not rocking the boat. Notice you don’t have acts of niceness but acts of Kindness. Theres a concept of being nice nasty. Just being polite but could care little of others.
