Thank you for posting this! Been looking for someone with dark hair to try Caca Marron - and you pronounced it right instead of everyone else saying Maroon!! The new color looks amazing on you gorgeous 💖 By the way it would've been even nicer if you inserted a before & after photo as your hair before was in a pony!!

Just A Thought thankyou! I was going to but hadn't washed my hair before so it didn't look great! I've tried to include some photos on the thumbnail. I was surprised how well it worked, I'd also struggled to find a video of someone using Caca Marron on dark hair and really struggled so hope that has helped!

Very helpful, I wanted to see how a dark hair would react to the henna since I also have dark hair but most tutorials were done by light hair people it wasn’t very helpful

Omg thank you so much!! I just bought the dye and was curious how it was going to come out since I also have curly dark hair.

Aylin Nunez it definitely isn't that strong! Mines gone down since I filmed this but I really like the red tone it's given my hair. If you want to see how it looks a bit more day to day rather than straight after you can have a look at my recent vlogs as they show it pretty naturally! X

Gosh it looks SO gingery! Thank you for posting this. Your hair is a bit darker than mine. So I almost didn't bother watching this because I already was kind of thinking I would be safe that it wouldn't make that noticeable change to my hair colour, much less yours. Phew, saved me! xx

Definitely doesn't come out that strong and is sort of a red ginger tinge but I thought it have a lovely colour that mostly showed up in the sun xc

@@CarinaMae Really it is a very cute colour and looks good on you (I love all hair colours actually). But for me, I really just want to colour a few greys that have sprouted up without an obvious change. :P.

I have a few greys to cover too, and my hair used to be a more aburny colour than it is now. So I’m hoping that the caco Marron will restore it. Maybe the greys will end up ginger highlights which would be cute.

@@katierose4465 I used the Caca Brun twice now. I have about 30 greys in the front that I want to cover and they just look light orange. Both times I left it on for several hours and covered with plastic wrap and a cloth over that to keep warm. Also it is so absurdly messy, I don't know how anyone could use it regularly. When I say 'messy' I don't think that is strong enough to explain how ridiculously bad it is. And washing many times, there is still grit in hair.... To be fair, my hair reaches my thighs and is very fine and frizzy. So maybe that makes thing worse. However, all that for orange hairs - its not something I would recommend for dark or long hair.

Thanks for posting - I will dye my hair with henna caca marron tomorrow and was a little unsure about some stuff, but with this video I think I learned all I need to know 😇 Really enjoyed watching this tutorial, and your hair turned out so well 😍 Greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪

I have been applying henna for 10 years and have never gotten all over me LOL. Maybe try using a color application brush. Also there is an application technique where you start at the front of your head and wrap the hair up into a "beehive". I've seen it demoed on Lush's page. That might be a better application method.

Thank you for this video ❤️ I have dark hair and I was wondering if the caca marron would show on my hair. I am now sure it will and also have a good idea of what I need to prepare before hand!

I'm glad it helped! It definitely does show up and is a really nice, gentle dye with a rich colour, but the process is super messy!

So glad you made this video because it inspired me to buy it and will try it soon!

It's really great but makes such a mess! Make sure you carve out the time to do it because I've recently redone it in more of a rush and that was stressful!

It would be cool if you included a side by side comparison of your hair before and after the treatment. :)

The reason why it was so messy is that your henna was much thicker than it should have been. Just as you said at the beginning of the video, it should be as runny as yogurt. The final result, however, turned out to be really nice!

Is that a metal spoon ? I thought no metals to come in contact with henna. Bowl or utensils.
@CarinaMae4 жыл бұрын
I'd never heard about the no metal with henna at the time! Definitely something that lush should have included in their instructions!

Did it leave stains on your skin?
@CarinaMae4 жыл бұрын
No it didn't. It stains your scalp (as in under your hair) for a couple of days but after you have washed a few times this goes away
