I always love hearing about Xeno lore. It's so multilayered and thought out. Always wished this series got half the recognition that Final Fantasy does. (Where's my Xenogears remake!?) You might want to bring up your audio in the future though, had a bit of a hard time hearing you all the time.

I was always under the impression that Emeralda and Maria had the best version of their gears. Maria's gear was more than likely built by her grandfather Balthasar, or at least based on one of his designs and built by her father. Her father is Nikolai, who experimented with gears and human brain function. It is heavily implied that Maria's gear has her mother's brain built into it. Which is why Jessiah tells Dominia that Seibzehn will never let her ride it. Crescens was, in part or fully, built with nano machines. Emeralda is a nano machine construct that was made using Kim and Elly's DNA. Krelian is very much infatuated with Elly and a nano machine expert. I'm sure, due to his adoration for Elly and his friendship with Lacan, that he built Crescens, as Taura would later build the the nano machine gears, to interface directly with Emeralda's nano machines. I think she melds with it but don't quote me on that. It also vaguely resembles Regrs And Vierge.

Yes and no. While Siebzehn and Crecens were far more powerful than any average Gear because of their special features, they still would have gotten stronger from an Anima upgrade because throwing God tech in there would always make things more powerful, though they were able to hold their own without it.

This is really rad, but man it makes me wish Xenogears could get a full re-localization along the lines of the GBA Final Fantasy and PSP Star Ocean titles

It would be amazing thing to see. I wouldn't give my hopes up though. The creators worked so hard that it almost killed them. Let's just hope it doesn't get remade and turns into ff7 remake

I wonder if Battletech/Mechwarrior had a small impact on the name OmniGear. Since that series had a mech type called OmniMech; however in Mechwarrior an OmniMech is just a modular mech (however in the Mechwarrior universe it was a major thing)

I know that we won't ever get it, but I want a remake of Xenogears SO BAD. Not a full re-imagining like FF7R, but more of a remaster of disk 1 and a FULL disk 2, made as intended. I dream of this!
