now redo that fight with them all having warhammers instead of great axe. Just another reason why I started using warhammer with lifestaff 100 STR / 150 Focus / 100 Con seems to be pretty good for me right now. More Focus for sure over that 150 but as a minimum I like it. Glad to see someone else using a warhammer with life staff setup.

Does the Amber gem still help the damage scale with focus? Also now that there was a change to the healer light attacks how would you change this build?

I’m going to be posting an updated build later today that explains the changes and what I do to counter them. As for the amber gem you’re gonna want to be using a tier 3 the t4 and t5 amber gem are bugged right now.

I definitely agree that orb of protection is controversial. Me personally i never really liked it but i guess it could be because i didn't quite understand how it fit into a build or that i just wasn't building correctly to take advantage of it but i might try this out later to see how it differs from what i'm running with lights embrace. Sounds nutty but so did what i'm running but i would love to see it for myself. Great vid

Yea with the play style I’m currently running lights embrace is really hard to cast. Not to mention when I’m in the heat of the moment on point during war, aiming that sucker is damn near impossible 😂😂. The build is really fun though definitely a nice change of pace from cloth healer.

Also, lights embrace isn't really all that much better when you consider you can light attack and near instantly use orb. To point they are nearly stacked on each other. Also, of you spec the whole orb it can heal multiple people at once even if it only passes through 1. Lastly getting the third talent on orb also means you can always have a source of fortify and healing on yourself which plays into the protectors touch passive.

Running Great Axe with Pristine Cut Amber lets you slap people who try to run away from you too. The only fights i've lost are when i'm HEAVILY outnumbered, or when someone has extremely high ranged damage.

Yea, that's the two weapons I run for PVP. If I'm solo open-world PVP, I go ax. When I've got a group, I use the hammer and let my DPS wreck shit, haha.

Do you see any benefit to the Hammer over the Ice Gauntlet? Always wanted to try the Hammer, but seems like any 2nd item with decent CC will do the trick. Entomb is nice too.

I look out for focus/con gear. You want to be sitting at 300 foc and 100 con. Heavy faction armor can be respeced with the cleric badge, and that is a good starting point.

PVE is pretty fun, just takes for ever to kill stuff. You’re pretty much unkillable but you also do dog meat damage.

I haven't really gotten into crafting yet. My armor is a mix of Syndicate Alchemist gear and random drops from elite farming.

Been doing something similar with the SnB. I prefer the SnBs ability to exist in the middle of a fight and buff everyone around me while running AoE heals. I think the only difference is that I run Splash of Light instead of Orb of protection. It heals more, has a huge range, and purges.

Hey bro, i have to tell u this your set passivs (from heal for example) doesn't work if u switch the set. What means u gain extra heal just if u have the stuff in your hand. And it doesn't stack with the second weapon like ace lifesteal. U can try it by yourself. Good guide. Ty for making them.

It's a toss-up between Opal, Malachite, and Diamonds. I personally prefer the Malachite, but I'd take a look at them and see what would fit you.

Light armor is garbage for healing. If they really want it to be the best for healing, it needs to give at least +100% more healing, not a measly 20%

Yea, the survivability just isn’t there. Light armor or even medium armor healers need a legit body guard to keep them safe. Heavy is the move until they make some changes.

I’m pretty sure the healing bonus doesn’t work still unless they fixed it but I tested it a couple days ago and it didn’t work at all got the same healing numbers with heavy armor

You want to rely on your armor for most of your stats. My hammer has some strength, but ideally I’d like to get some more focus and con. You’re not really worried about damage w the hammer more so applying de-buffs allowing your dps to get more dmg off.

If you are heavy weightclass, and not near 50 weight, why not wear a shield and get the free stats?

Sadly the shield doesn't give you stats unless you have it out with a sword. Even if you have it equipped in your second slot, none of the stats will affect you until you physically have the blade out.

Love the build. I heard thought, only 150 focus is used for healing. the rest goes to damage, I’m not sure how. I just heard that that’s how it works. You also want to put an amber gem, (I believe) on your hammer. it makes your focus turn into nature damage. Whatever gym you want that you want on your other weapon that you’re using I think. Don’t quote me I’m still learning the game.

With the life staff I put a diamond for the healing/damage buff. On the hammer the amber gym is the right choice and as far as attributes I go 300 focus and 100 con.

If you can get focus con then you should take that. The faction armor with a cleric badge should suffice, but it’s really a case by case bases just aim for 300 focused and 100 con.

As more and more people hit 60 damage is starting to ramp up. That being said the build is still good but if the enemy is running a hammer comp and CC locks you out of your heals you have a good chance of being killed. However a lot of guys are still running the basic ax build which just won’t cut it.

Technically. During the open beta patch they reduced all healing by 20% and then made light armor do 20% more to even it out.

Any weapon with an amber gem in it should do, but my personal favorite is the hatchet. When questing I’ll usually pull very large groups of ads the drop my heals after that I swap to hatchet, berserk and just wack all the mobs.

@@lxx71 yes, it will scale up to 50% of your focus to nature damage. I’d suggest issuing Lowe tier gems until you’ve gotten to around lvl 60. At that point using tier 5 gems is a necessity

The Tank Healer Build isn't overpowered. There wouldn't be any purpose in choosing the Healer class if healers died so easy from DPS builds.

Healers should be able to 1 vs 1 with an great axe heavy armor. I dont see healers being able to do that by nerfing them. Currently its actually fun being a heavy geared healer. But they can be easy to kill If players are smart enough to use cc against healers. Then its not an op build at all. It would be boring if just dumb dps could take down everything. Play smart.

It's hard to say; I've been in even fights where the enemy squad focuses me, and I die pretty quickly. As you said, most battles are "fest fucks," and no one approaches it tactically. When you kill the healer, you wipe the squad EZ.
