My wife taught high school English for 26 years. One of her former students plays trombone for Zach. We are very proud for him.

Thank you so much for your reviews on music, it is very confirming to truth. I appreciate that more Christian music is bringing the gospel into their songs. I think this song is truly honoring to the Lord and His Word.

I appreciate the way you present the material. The Gettys do great renditions of hymns.

I am just about to celebrate.my 77th birthday. Thankyou for helping me appreciate the modern music.. I do like observing the musicians in bands and particularly the drummers. Now I shall know those notes of the drummer plays are triplets. The lesson in the song showing how from beginning to end the Holy Bible’s points us to Christ’s perfect redemption of us through his death on the cross. May the “ScarletThread ”, be used to spread God’s good news to its listeners.

I’m not wild about the instrumentation but the words are so powerful, I will be listening again and again, and definitely adding it to my playlist. Wow! Good pick!

I like traditional hymns. I like the background of the reason why the song was written. Not my favorite. I will wait for more songs from the hymnal. Thank you.

Thank you Pastor Luke. Respectfully I do not enjoy the music. I consider the music to be theatrical and simply "entertainment on the stage. "

I like old hymns more.... Thanks though...

Pastor Powell, I worry about the riffs on the guitar and whether they are pleasing to the Holy Spirit. I'm a pentecostal Christian and I've long said that "I hate {Nashville} country music." I value your teaching on the traditional hymns where the WORDS are pronounced and the music is subservient to the words. The best southern gospel singer I've ever heard was 3 months ago on YT, Chresten Tomlin on Sonlife Broadcasting Network. The Holy Spirit sang thru Mr. Tomlin's vocal cords and took over the service, preaching through song. I re-listened several times. See on YT.

Well, the lyrics were powerful - but the music reminded me of that which I was saved from in the 1980s. It is rock music - not country or folk. I do hope it is acceptable to God .... but I seriously doubt it. I don't think it is a matter of different genres of music - it is whether the Holy Spirit has inspired it or not. Sorry Luke - but thank you for showing us the 'other side.'
