I put Lyndall's on my Heritage with ABS, best move I made, little spendy but worth it! The big plus is almost zero brake dust which on Chrome spokes is huge. When my Street Glide needs brakes it will be getting them too.

I was at Laughlin in '99. Rode out on a sportster from Wisconsin with a good buddy. Stayed at the Oatman hotel. Rode up to Vegas on Saturday was overcast and rainy. Bought an HD rainsuit on the way up. Stopped in Vegas at the Harley Davidson Cafe and had their chile. Guy yelled out to my buddy "tell that guy he is to big for that bike". I'm 6' 1" 275 lbs with leathers on and a rainsuit over that you really didn't see much of the bike. Had a friend who had a bike shop and built a sportster. Stretched it out because he was 6' 5''. The bike ran like a raped ape. 200 lbs. lighter and bored and stroked to 90 inches. Never did see these brakes there. Did see the most beautiful bikes. I think back then it was the Southern California Dealers event. Later my friend.

I'll do the best I can. As far as I know: A floating rotor is constructed so the "disc" or "rotor" is made up of more than one piece. The outer section or braking surface is a separate piece floating on the inner section, so that when the brake is applied, the outer or "friction" piece "self-aligns" rather than flex the rotor. I hope that explains it.
