"You have to hive what you want to receive " powerful. Guys don't expect unrealistic things that you yourself you can't give or capable of giving. Don't expect Diamond or Gold the you can only give bronze. How do you balance your values with your partner's on a give and take ratio? During divorce, God forbid, if the Judge is asking you to share the property, what tangible evidence do you have that can make the court award you the 50-50 award? That's what I mean by balancing your values interchangeably. Think about it guys. May God help strengthen your relationships.

Now, regarding this great blue dressed sweet 16 Doc, she is a gift to her husband and an intentional "self-peace" maker. She represents Central Kenya very positively despite the stereotypes people have about that region. She looks young, elegant and positive in her quest for good living. Mom, I love your family too. I am happy that you live positively and with self-care. That's the spirit happy marriage. Before you talk of a successful or working marriage, you must first be successful from your inner soul. Successful marriage must come from within. Guys, marriage works but for this fact to be demystified it must start from you.We call it internal locus of evaluation. Do not expect an outsider to validate you before you gauge and guard your values-"When everything else is gone in a marriage, what remains? Your values ". This great woman of God has put it correctly. I am appealing to all of us to take this Lynn show with seriousness it deserves-don't just listen, learn and apply the snippets of wisdom that is spitted out day in day out. Granted, all of us are different personalities and our marriages will play out differently, but know what? There are universal characteristics that play across the marriage spectrum but in each one of us, there are unique attributes that make you stand out. That's the value/values that we are talking about here. Who are you? What is your personal values that you can bring to this "Love" relationship past the natural assets that God bestowed upon us? In this marriage, until you have something that you can bring into a marriage as an individual, those lovy dovies shall be doomed before you know it. Lastly, always put God first to your relationship. Ask Him to show you guidance and grace to navigate through. Looks are not enough just like Love is not enough. Love the total sum of the many small small things you do in your relationship and appreciating that no partner is perfectly made from the onset. There must be compromises, understanding and continuous review-but not compromising values. End

Wow! What a beautiful story and one to learn from Yes the misery and pain in relationship and marriage is from unmet relationship needs and expectations most of which are not always communicated to each other. I personally had a rude awakening when I had a mental breakdown and ended up in a mental hospital. I was told to have harbored so much anger and bitterness in me over the years hence the breakdown. I haven't been the same since then. Thank God I didn't get to die with all that bitterness and frustration inside. I have decided to take a career in becoming a family counselor so that I can get to work with families so that no one ends up in the extreme that I ended up in
