You're doing such a great job! I bought those same blinds when we moved into this house 20 years ago. I JUST took them down and threw them away about a month ago. I had a moment of "Do we REALLY need blinds?! They're a pain to maintain, and soooo heavy." So my husband gave his OK to remove them. I already had curtains that easily close over the windows, and they are room darkening and so pretty and flowy. Removing our blinds is one of my best homemaking decisions I've ever made. So much more light flows into the rooms, I can see all the beauty outside our windows unobstructed by blind slats, and it feels sooooos much lighter and cleaner. I just cannot express the difference.

For hard water deposits around fixtures, my mother-in-law would dampen a rag with vinegar. Then wrap it around the fixture for awhile. It would soften it and could be cleaned much easier.

Hi Lynn. Your energy to clean your home was awesome! Regarding the previous owners dog, it does seem odd just still see dog hair, but maybe they dogs at once in a while? I have a dog and a cat and I’m always vacuuming or wiping the floors. I never use harsh chemicals anymore to clean. I use a spray bottle with water, the blue dawn soap, and white vinegar. Lynn the feeling you have inside for Chris is because your feelings about the move are adjusting. It’s been obvious since the first time I watched your channel how much you love your man, I he loves you. Understanding each others needs and putting them first is what we do , as he said about the blinds he wants what you want and that’s because he knows you make your homes the best you can. Plus you have a great eye for decor on a budget 🤗. We can only give as much in one day , as our body allows. Some days just making the bed is all we have. So we moved into our house now about 2.5 years ago & even tho it’s a relatively newer house (built 2016-17) the guy that lived here with his two young daughters did NOT CLEAN A DANG THING. So I feel your pain. What I did was did a very quick, basic, top clean in all the rooms & we had ALL our stuff moved in on one day. Once we got everything functional, I went room by room, space by space & DEEP cleaned it ALL. Top to bottom. It took me about a year to do it all but I took my time & didn’t stress over it but once it’s done, it’s DONE. then it’s maintenance cleaning after that! We have extreme hard water in my town. I use white vinegar with a drop or two of dawn dish soap. I spray the bathroom down and let it soak for a while. It works every time. For extreme fixture, soak a rag in the vinegar solution and wrap it around the fixture. Let it soak for a bit. Be sure to rinse thoroughly. 🩷

My husband hung two nails on the fence and then hung the blind from the two nails. We were able to wash them with warm soapy water and then hose them down. Let them dry and then hang them back up. Worked fantastic. I did try once to do them in the tub but they can scratch the tub so be careful. The fence works the best.

I’m just watching your last video! I don’t know how I missed it but I have been using a linen closet hack I saw years ago and I love it. Buy Dollar Tree dryer sheets in the clean cotton scent, crack open the box and place the slightly open box in the closet to make ping sure the dryer sheets don’t touch the linens. Easy no more smell hack!

I am odd in that I love the smell of bleach…I have had to cut back since having Covid four times and long term covid has wreaked havoc on my respiratory system. I go to my Nanas favorite that she always used, Lysol concentration disinfectant. One 12 oz bottle makes 9 gallons. It sanitizes and kills odors, I also use Mr Clean Pet ..we have 3 dogs and 3 cats and it works great in their areas. We also had to buy a new washer and dryer😢 and bought the Maytag Pet series. Wow. The difference in thinking my other duo was getting all of the hair when I washed bedding and such…it has a filter that catches it all. Our stuff is so much cleaner, again…respiratory issues led us to having to do a lot of things to our home. Hardest is no animals in my room

For the cleaning brush try the dollar tree denture brush. It's not as big as the one you have but it's about the same concept.
