CORRECTIONS: In the segment featuring SPIKE, THE MIXED UP MONSTER I refer to the main character as a Gila monster. The first correction is that I pronounced it incorrectly, as it should be "HEE-la monster." More importantly, though, is that the animal depicted is actually an axolotl. I enjoy this series for seeing new-to-me books as much as learning new techniques. Each book in this one was more wonderful than the last. I'd not seen Come On, Rain! before, so that was a real treat. "Trinkets of silver rain"--beautiful. Thank you for another great episode. I learn so much each time.

Thanks for great examples and your explanations. One correction for Spike the Mixed up Monster. He is NOT a GILA Monster. He is based on a real endangered Mexican salamander called an axolotl. It includes facts about the animals and a glossary of Spanish words. (Gila monsters are lizards that grow up on the desert with eggs laid in the ground. They do not live in the water. I think a correction should be added to the notes on this video.
