I have to use a rubber mallet to lock up my trigger guard I can put all my weight on it but until I walk it, it will not lock in

@eclectic3618 I generally try to switch out to a trigger guard with flatter lugs if this is the case as if your using a good round lug trigger guard it will be flattened in no time, if you don't have another trigger guard you can just run it as the wood will compress over time, otherwise if the heel is firmly bedded at the top of the stock and you like the fitment up there, you can remove a faint amount of material from where the trigger guard seats. I only recommend removing this material after the top of the stock is fit and only if it seems like excessive force is needed to lock the guard. Remember, it will loosen as the wood compresses.
