I purchased my tires & everything to do with sealing up the rim from here. I personally didn't have the greatest experience. I ordered 3 different times & had an issue each time with things just not being shipped & items missing in the box. From now on I will only purchase from here if I have no other choice.

Thanks for the shout out in the description. At least you have some of the tools that I never had, like the bottle jack and jack pad... but then again, you need the FMTV lug wrench with the big bar that goes in it. Sorry about your poor breaker bars! Well done!

I exchanged them & Harbor Freight Tools changed the design. Looks much better. Hopefully won't break again!

The diesel did the trick! Some of the tires were mounted in 2004. Came off easy.

Nice video. Thanks for laying out all the tools you used. That helps a lot. It beats getting elbow deep into it before realizing you need some special tool that stops the whole project. I am not going to lie either, I saw the CTIS armor and I was like "holy crap, does he have a source on those?!?" Unobtanium is right.

The best thing to use for those lug nuts in a torque multiplier. It'll keep you from breaking tools trying to get those lug nuts loose.

Your lucky you didnt have those 100 lb run flats like mine do, the are black greasy like a 5th wheel on a big rig. You probably need to disassemble the wheel valves on the tires and clean them/filter if your going to us the CTIS. I disabled mine as it drove me nuts every 15 minutes as it self checked, and half the time came up blinking or deflating one of the tires. I just put them all at 75psi and left them. CTIS only inflated them to 55 psi max and that isnt enough for good wear on the highway. Put a 80 lb transducer in behind the passenger dash if you want to up the operating CTIS pressure. Good videos.

One of my tires did have that run flat insert! Just left it in the tire. I went through all my wheel valves on my truck. After many, many hours of troubleshooting, I think it's a bad CTIS seal in the axle.

@@CallMeColtLLC If it is a front axle it is a nightmare to pull apart and and reinstall getting all the shims correct, its like preload and backlash on a truck axle except not nearly so easy to adjust and measure.

The o rings for the ctis wheel assembly are at harbor freight tools. They are in the o ring kit of 250. Also great video always stick with the Goodyear MVT. Michelin are horrible and blow out.

The only thing with the Harbor Freight Tools o-rings is the cheaper o-rings material. They will work. All the sizes in the wheel valve are metric.

have not seen that jack foot? does the jack slide into the foot? that piece came with the truck?? or you referring to the pipe slid into the jack?.... or both?

The plate with handle that the jack was on. Came with the truck.

Half inch drive breaker bars ?!? No wonder they fail. 3/4" min for big wheel torque.

Probably would have been a better option but I wasn't going to go buy a whole new socket set & breaker bar for this. The bars that broke had known flaws & have been upgraded. The free replacements were much better & built different!

What was your thought process Michelin vs Goodyear?

Goodyear was more available & a bit better on the asphalt from what I've gathered. Most of the FMTV's have them as well.
