HOW TO: M113 camshaft bearing bridge assembly
This is the last part of the engine i need to clean and inspect before everything can be assembled again. The camshaft bearing bridge is a part that needs to be handle with care. Because it is a part that is machined to fit the head. So if it is damaged or the head is damaged it needs to be change out together.
In my engine i have option code: 479 ZAS cylinder cut out system. This means this system has more parts then the regular engine with this option. But the process is the same. Difference is in the shafts that has an extra oil channel and the 4 sets of rockers are different. These can run in split mode. so 1 part is still running with the cam and the other part is standing still when activated. There is a seperate video of how this is working in detail.
Just make sure all the parts are clean and have no excess play or deep scratches. The hydraulic lifters or compensation elements is also in a seperate video.

Cleaning amonnia from the supermarket is 3-5% pure . That this what i used

Hello sir. I am replacing a valve and 1 lifter on a m113k, if I am not removing any other lifters, do I have to reset them all, or just be sure the new one is reset? Thanks.

Hello. Can you advice does it matters if i change stock W210 E430 Cams with W210 E55 Cams? Does it give any gains?

If there is a part number difference there should be a difference in the cam . Because lot of parts also in in the amg engine is having m112 numbers . The normal 4.3 and 5.0 also run max 6000rpm i thought the amg model where able to run higher rpm

Hi! Can you share your experience. Now i am going to mount AMG camshafts on my E430. I was told that bolts must be changed. Can you tell which bolts (part numbers and quantity) have i to change. I've looked in EPC, That shows following: A0029909722 (2piece), A1129901022 (16/16 left/right), A1129901022 (another 4 piece), and A1129900212/A1129900312 - 20/20 piece - i can't understand this last position. Can you help?

I have to look this up because it is a little strange in the part list. But i have used a different set of bolts because i had the ZAS system

But there are also people i have heart that never chance the camshaft bearing bridge bolts. I did it because the manual tells you to do

@@JMSpeedshop I am afraid when i will reuse and retorque them not to damage or strip any bolt heads. To be honest they are very expensive from Mercedes and to change them is not very attractive.
