@@al4realzif you don’t depend on really high levels of sustained performance, I say go buy the MBA. MBA already is super powerful, and Apple Silicon chips all offer the same single core performance. The differences are in adding more of those CPU cores and for the GPU, when you spec up to the higher end M3 Pro/Max and yet to be announced Ultra. Because MBA is a fanless computer, it will not be able to deliver the same sustained performance as M3 MBP with a fan. But again, you only should care about that if you depend on it. 98% of people get more performance from MBA than they need.

I’m waiting for my yearly bonus. The the order goes in. Edit: I got my 15” M3 24GB/1TB a week ago and the thing is a flamethrower compared to my old intel 27” iMac! I love it!

Highly do not recommend doing the last step - disabling Desktop to Cloud. My Mac got broken, and I was able to restore my desktop on a new one only because it was ON!

What is the best solution to easily switch from using work HP computer to MacBook Air M3 using the same external dual display monitors. My current HP DOC dos not seem to do the trick only mirrors the dual display 4K monitors

You will need to utilize a DisplayLink dock from Plugable. I'm not sure abou that HP dock but I know the plugable dock that I use has me download a DisplayLink driver that then allows me to utilize 3 montiors. They are sold on Amazon. Without the DisplayLink driver installed the m3 can only handle a single monitor out of 1 of the usbc ports. You could probably by pass the dock all together and run HDMI from your monitors to the 2 thunderbolt (usbc) ports on the left hand side.

I am new to Mac Book. I just purchased the new Mac Book Air M3 a couple of days ago and trying to get used to it and learn how to use it. I also have a HP and that's what I'm used to using so this is really different for me. I am trying to figure out how to open a new window in the browser. How do you do that? I just got my first ever Mac as well just a couple days ago (incidentally an M3 MacBook Air). You may have already figured it out but you can press command+t and it will open a new tab in the browser. Interestingly, this also works in finder. Both of which I figured out by accident. My guess is this works in just about any app that has tabs.

Question: Can anyone answer why my iMac can only have 1 fingerprint created? Seems this might be a T1 Chip Secure Enclave issue or something like that... I have an M1 iMac. I get the Fingerprint limit reached error. I do have 4 users with separate accounts on my iMac. Is there a limit on how many fingerprints I can have on the iMac? I do have my fingerprint registered on another profile too...so the total number is 5 fingerprints saved. This seems to be an issue.
