Well I just ordered the Ipad Pro 11 inch 1 TB. I've never had a ipad before, I'm a samsung guy with a galaxy watch ultra and fold 5. I've had Samsung tablets for the last 5 years including tab s9. I hope I like it, I'm a little nervous 😓

I'm afraid I've gotten spoiled by the 12.4" screen of the"plus" models of the S 8 and S 9. I was able to get the S8 Ultra with some financial help (gift card and great sale price), but I have discovered that I don't really use it as much as I thought I would. I'm thinking about using it as a trade in at Best Buy. I just need to figure out what I want and then wait for whatever I choose to go on sale. I guarantee it won't be anything Apple though. :)

Single core speed is the best metric for the snappiness of a device - something like Speedometer 3.0 is probably the best test of how fast a browsing experience you'll have. The M4 chip probably is the fastest single core CPU you can get. Another factor which is may have missed is the number of tablet applications specifically designed to run on a tablet there are in each ecosystem - a stretched out phone app won't yield as satisfying an experience - and there are a gazillion apps designed specifically for or with iPad execution in mind. The M4 iPad will under iPadOS 18 be gaining on-device Apple Intelligence with Apple's generative models running on device with a personal contextual database and an app intents framework - and a fallback to an equally private set of cloud servers in Apple data centers with Apple's Private Cloud Compute - a set of Apple Silicon servers with more memory, stronger neural processors, and a higher power Apple designed generative model which come with the same privacy constraints as the on-device edge AI. It also benefits from deep integration with Apple's traditional ecosystem, so it can act as a High Dynamic Range reference display for your Mac and a copy on another device can be pasted on this one - or vise versa. If you have other Apple hardware, there are invisible synergies that take place through your Apple ID. It also comes with traditional iWork suite applications which can share data through iCloud - Numbers: a spreadsheet app like Excel, Pages: a page layout/work processing app, and Keynote: a presentation app like Powerpoint. Now that I'm retired I actually prefer Numbers to Excel as it allows you to place multiple discrete tables on a single worksheet - a much more logical arrangement than Excel. These apps can be run collaboratively with an identical set of apps on a Mac or iPhone.

Which tablet is suitable for my use case from display prospective? Currently I use my mobile for media consumption which will be replaced by the tablet.

For gaming no winlator to play windows games, no aethersx2 to emulate ps 2 games... so the ipad for me is useless went with s9 although I would have loved to go with the ipad if it had what i needed.

I already have the iPad Pro 13 which is so good I like it so far, but since I on Samsung ecosystem (fold6, watch6, buds3pro) i want a Samsung tablet but i want a portable one and not have 2 big tablets, so….do you recommend me the s9 or maybe s9 plus? Thanks a lot bro

Watching movies with the aspect ratio on the ipad....not for me... watching movies on the s8 ultra is better .....for me that is And what you said, is exactly my point....cudos to the amazing chip of the ipad...but it allways feels to me like an overpowered supercar that makes it undriveable

I dont about pro level tablets, but my ipad 7 gen and mini 5, both released on 2019, easy out perform any android tablet up to 2023 in their price range (used about $120 to $250 range today). Might be the last year of ipados support tho for these models. I like android but on tablets, even with its multi tasking and being customizable, apple is king for tablets used for tablet functions which is just a phone with large screen and not as good cameras (not a laptop-like device like we all wish they were). Ipads are just reliable they just work, and in my case that beats features and bells and whistles any day. Ipados is very limited for 2024, but what it can do it does top level.

I saw a vid from another creator who uses his S9 for artistic stuff and said that he has noticed a significant amount of burn in on the screen after about a years use. From what I have seen, the tandem screen on the iPad should reduce the chance of this on the Pro! Nice informative vid, thank you (I have the iPad Pro M4 11” btw) 👍🏻
