No ebike that is 48V is able to get to 40 mph. Closest you can get to is 52v ebike with 1000w or 1500w motor will get you to 37-39mph. To get to 40 mph you will need 2000w and 60V and that bike will weight 135 lbs

P09 Zero Start is simply allowing the throttle to power you off from a standing still position (you don't have to get the bike moving yourself first).

Hi B Rich love your videos. I have purchased this bike after watching the unboxing and review video of yours. To be clear p17 cruise is that throttle on and off? ( I live in Australia and it legally cannot be ridden with a throttle in public areas) so I need to disable the throttle. My bike hasn’t arrived yet and like you will raise the stem.

I just received my new bike and the controller switch is a different style than the one you have to adjust the screen settings. Mine has a + and a - button with out an M to make changes. Also my manual has the older style switch noted. I can get into the screen menu buy cant make any changes. Any suggestions? Thank you

How do you turn the power on/off to the screen? If you have a power button use the on/of switch to cycle thru options once in the options menu

I have the Ridstar H20...just arrived. I went in to the advanced settings as described and changed the distance to km, and screen brightness. I'm a bit concerned that P05 which in the video shows to be set at 01....mine is set to 05. Toggling up and down does not allow me to change that value to 01. So my first question is....what does P05 control and secondly...is the setting of 05 correct or not?

P5 is number of gears, it’s set at 5 you can make 3 or 9. Not sure why it changes the first number when you hit down compared to cycling through by pressing up. In other words idk the difference between 0.05 and 1.05

Hi, i have an ouxi V8 with the M5 display, but i cant change all of the settings, only the brightness, speed limit and PAS mode. Any suggestions for a display that will let me change all of the settings? also, the bike only goes 40/42 km/h on GPS, yet the display says 50.. should i just buy a better controller so it goes faster?

Just bought the Ridstar 48v 1000w foldable. But it will not accept any input changes PO1 thru P20. The M5 display shows the changes but the bike reacts exactly the same to manual pedal and throttle inputs. Also, I can turn it on and start the bike up without the battery key inserted or in either of it's two positions?? Any idea's anyone?

doesn't sound right. Reach out the manufacturer or seller and tell them the issue. Sounds like bad Controller?

Hi I have similar problem on my ridstar but not with every settings. But for example I change P11 or P12 or p14 and bike reacts exactly the same regardless of values in settings. Did you find any solution for that?

@@mrgodzio1750 I finally emailed the manufacturer in Thailand. They sent me a new controller after I complained about the inability to self customize. They initially said it was a safety issue. I threatened to return since I bought it on Amazon. That changed their tone. And sent me an extra battery to keep me happy. 😁👍

I Ritch, I have 2 other e bikes that have great pedal assist right from the start where the Ridstar you must pedal a few times before assist kicks in. Even at speed when I let off throttle and pedal the assist will kick in when it wants to. I have bought a new controller and no difference. I found a video that explained all settings and set for max assist but it's just a little better. ??

Some bikes PAS kick is much quicker then other and sensitivity can be adjusted in the settings. I wonder if the cadence sensor on crank has too few magnets and the sensors is limited. Maybe try changing sensor or increasing the setting for the number magnets to fool the controller?

H20 must have different settings then. Put settings back to default and then change each setting individually and test before going to the next setting

Setting Current Limit (P14) to 22Ampere give you more current (if your battery can provide enough) and you get more power, but if the controller isn't designed to support 22A (you have to check on your controller specs)you will break it quickly, specially if you ask that current for long time, so i will suggest to keep it at default value, or just few amp more.

To factory reset the display : P16 - hold mode and down button until the screen flashes. It will reset all settings to default. Mine had P08 032 and would not let us change it to anything else. Had to call the ebike manufacturer and he had us do the above steps which factory reset it. It was then back to max speed of 100 on P08.
